Cottonfeather's been to many places under many names, but he's gotta say, the Garden of the Gods has to be one of the weirdest places he's seen (not the weirdest, the lunar realm holds that dubious honor, but it's up there). And he's gotta say, learning about a pantheon of gods directly from the mouth of one of them is definitely an experience. Maybe he should stay a little longer than initially planned? If anything, anyone - god or mortal - who can grow a grove this big this far above the treeline is someone he can learn a trick or two from. In the interest of flowers, Cottonfeather started spending more time with Nimbus. The aloof wolf wasn't much interested in his inquiries, and humored him enough to send him off on his latest acquisition. Their exchanges slowly progressed from stilted and awkward to just another part of their day, with both wolves even coming to look forward to each other's company. What started as a mere inquiry for information slowly became something more, until the day both wolves surprised the pack by asking to be pairbonded before Leto. And while Cottonfeather knows in his heart that one day he'll have to return to his pack, he'll spend as much time with his family and lady love as he can before that time comes.

As Cottonfeather trotted through the misty woods, he heard a cheerful bark. Cautiously he prowled towards the sound and was pleasantly surprised to find a hidden orphanage! An elegant gray she-wolf wandered over and addressed herself as Subzero, the next leader of the pack. She explained that she bore the idea for opening an orphanage. Cottonfeather listens shyly, impressed by her ambitious dreams and fierce protectiveness over her pack. This she-wolf will be a fine leader someday. When they finally part ways, she gifts him a paw-woven blue scarf with a mention of chilly air around these forests.
