Crossbill

Crossbill is a kind, curious young wolf, trained as a stalker.

She was originally trained to be a chaser. She is very adventurous and likes helping her pack in any way she can, but never really fit the role- she loves hunting and enjoyed all of her training, but that doesn't mean she enjoyed chasing. When she and two other adolescents were assigned to follow a hunting party for training, she asked Fir if she could switch with the stalker apprentice- to her surprise, both Fir and the other apprentice agreed. After that hunt, Crossbill was permanently switched to stalker training, as she had found her actual role and purpose in the pack.

Despite being a very new adult, she is very skilled, both of her mentors often commenting about her skill and her fun personality to the rest of the pack. Crossbill is able to tell the difference between just about every prey animal she's encountered, and can often even estimate their age or health through the tracks they leave behind.

However, this fascination comes with its downsides, as she gets distracted easily trying to discover as much as she can about the animal to the point that she loses the scent.
