Arlan, you were born without ever being able to see the blue skies of the world. You can never have a useful place in our pack, go, leave and find a place somewhere. This is how Arlan met Topaz, a caring leader who took the little one into her family. The young wolf was covered in wounds and dust, he was not used to his handicap and too young to survive. He grew up with his foster family who tried to give him the love he deserves, despite everything.
Once a teenager and sufficiently independent, he made the decision to travel despite everything. "Topaz, I don't want to be a dead weight for you, you saved my life and keep a place at your side. I want to be able to be useful, so if I can't hunt, explore or keep busy of the next generations I want to be wise and have the knowledge that no one has here. Let me meet other packs and clans, know their customs and habits and feel with my other senses the end of the world that you never have! seen !"
The young leader was incapable of refusing him his only whim. Just hoping they come back alive and in one piece... May fate be on your side and find what you're looking for. "Okay, I agree to let you travel but on one condition! Come back and see before or after 5 years!"

Journal/Lore: Arlan traveled for many days and moons, using his nose and his other senses as a way to guide him across the plains and into the mountains. He hadn't managed to catch much prey to eat which only furthered his desperation to find another pack.
After a long day of stumbling into thing and wondering aimlessly about he lay to rest next to bolder…a rather fluffy and breathing bolder… He sprung to his feet, backing away from what he was just laying next to, afraid of what it might do to him. A gruff sounding voice let out a hum, circling around the newcomer as he stood in shock.
"Did you…not see me just then?" The voice asked, clearly interested in finding out more about this pup. Arlan shook his head.
"No, I couldn't.." He admitted, bowing his head as a sign of submission. "I can't see… anything. It's just how I was born." He explained.
"Interesting.." The older wolf took a pause, looking down at this pup before him. "You're a traveler, right?"
Arlan nodded. "How did you know?"
"You've got the energy and determination of one. Now come, I'll take you to our hoard, you must be starving." As he spoke the voice got more distant, prompting Arlan to follow the voice and attempt to keep up with him.
"Thank you…" He let his voice trail off, now just realising he doesn't know the name of the wolf that's helping him.
"Loki." The voice answered back. "And you are?"
"Arlan."
"Well, Arlan. Welcome to our territory."
The new wolf, now known as Loki showed him around, letting him meet the other pack members, the younger pups being very excited about him and his condition. Their healer, Nero even took an interest to him. Checking out his sight problems as it's something he's never seen before. It's safe to say he was very popular within the pack as they all sat around to hear his story about his sightless existence.

Journal/Lore: Arlan sniffed, his ears perking towards unfamiliar smells. He was in a dense, overgrown pine forest, and it was raining right now. Arlan looked at the sky, full of grey clouds and thunder, but unfortunately he couldn't see. He could only feel the tiny, countless raindrops on his snout. He needed to find shelter quick & fas-
"Who are you?" Growled a wolf, Arlan quickly turned around and sniffed the air. Although it was raining very hard, Arlan had accustomed to using his sense of smell, and it had sharpened over the months.
He sensed 4 other wolves behind the leader- No, it wasn't a leader, it was a hunting party. Arlan sniffed and sniffed, they had a moose carcass and a rabbit carcass.
"I mean no harm." Arlan quickly said, shaking his head and whining and dipping his head, showing he had no intent of harming or fighting. The wolf approached him, who was twice his size. The wolf also had a stench of animal blood on him, he was most likely the finisher, and well, the strongest in the hunting part.
The wolf then began sniffing him, and Arlan stood still. He knew one move, and the wolf would probably attack him.
"You're a traveling wolf, right?" The wolf said, and Arlan sensed that they loosened up a bit. They didnt seem so hostile anymore.
Arlan nodded. "My name is Fireball. I can guide you to Bear, she'll decide if you can stay."
With a flick of Fireball's tail, the rest of the wolves loosened up as well and began dragging the carcass again. Fireball began walking, and Arlan followed.
Arlan, though he could not see, he knew many wolves lived here, and they were happy and nourished. He heard pup's squeaks, wolves barking playfully and talking to each other. They didnt seem too disturbed by Arlan's presence. "Whats with your eyes?" Barked a wolf, that was next to Arlan. Arlan frowned.
"Hyena! You can't ask that!" Growled a male wolf, who seemed to be the second in command. "Sorry Olive.. I was just curious.." Grumbled Hyena, who continued dragging the carcass.
"Forgive Hyena, she's one of our newest hunters, and, well, youngest. She doesnt seem to know any better. My name is Olive. I'd love to tell you more about our pack." Offered Olive.
Arlan smiled, and nodded. "Id love that." Arlan agreed.
"Right, well, Bear is the leader of our pack, Smoky is our stud and future heir, Moss is our herbalist, Nebula and Amar are our scouts, and the rest of us are hunters or pup sitters. You'll be really welcomed by most of our wolves, but some of us are a bit shy. None of us are mean, though, dont worry. We were raised better than that." Grinned Olive, who was about to say more until Fireball stopped abruptly, which made Arlan almost fall over.
"Sorry, but here's Bear." Fireball dipped his head, then turned to his hunting party and led them to the hoard.
Arlan sniffed the den, which smelled of flowers and a wolf. An old one too.
"Hello. My name is Bear, the leader of Lonebear Pack. What brings you here?"
"My name is Arlan. I am a traveling wolf, in desperate need of a pack to stay at. Ive crossed the prairie and grasslands to get here." Arlan said, suddenly reminded of his aching bones and his never-ending hunger. He felt he was a bit skinny.
Bear nodded. "We have space for a traveler. We will happily welcome you to stay here and learn about our pack." Bear grinned.
"Follow me."
Arlan followed Bear to a den, and he seemed to be climbing upward now. Was this den in a mountain?
It was indeed, in a mountain. He took in the fresh scents of flowers and the pleasant smell of raspberries and other fruits, which seemed to grow inside the den and were most likely flourishing as of right now.
"We finally finished the traveler's stop den. If you continue going straight, there will be an exit to a crystal-lit pond. The water there is completely safe, and is very healthy for you. There are blueberries and other fruits to harvest if you want a snack, as well. I'll show you to the hoard, but this is where you will sleep."
Arlan suddenly wished he could see, as there were a lot of things he would miss out on. Unfortunately, he couldn't do anything about it.
"Come, you must be starving. Please, remember you can take as much food as you'd like, as other wolves also do. Usually, though, there is food served to you by me at morning, afternoon, and night, but you're welcomed to get more if you want."
Bear then led Arlan to the hoard, which was in the mountain, next to his den. He could suddenly take in the delicious smells of food, bovines, horses, elk cows and bulls, rabbits, lemmings, mice, and even bison and so much more.
"You can take a whole whitetail carcass to your den. it will rot in 10 days, and im sure you can finish it right now. I hope you enjoy your time here, but I must go attend to my other duties." Nodded Bear, and Arlan seemed to understand. When Arlan was about to say something, he felt Bear leaving. He sniffed around the den, and found the whitetail carcass. He then took it to his den and finished half of it, deciding to leave the rest for later. He decided it was time to learn about this extraordinary pack; why did they seem so different?
He walked outside, and could still feel it raining. It was lighter, though, but the fresh scent of rain hovered in the air. It was one of the most pleasant smells he could ever smell.
He then set off to learn about the other wolves, excited to also share his own stories.
