hello there! i'm stingray, but y'all can call me sting, ray, or literally anything else u can come up with, idc
as you can probably tell i'm extremely lazy with how i talk ooc but don't think it's any reflection of my writing lmao

i am in my twenties. you can use any pronouns for me.
i have been roleplaying for about thirteen years.
i work full-time and am mostly active on weekends however my schedule is inconsistent.
i like getting to know my rp partners! it's more fun and engaging to share memes, headcanons, tiktoks, songs, or what have you when we're in between replies.
i prefer long-term roleplays but i will never say no to something short, sweet, and noncommittal if thats the vibe
i prefer to write on site or on discord

a disclaimer: my muse is fickle af. i would always rather wait for a good response to come naturally than rush to give a mediocre one. sometimes i can respond immediately, sometimes it can take me up to a month. patience is a virtue that i look for in my partners first and foremost, which is why i obviously will never expect my partner to reply in any timeframe either. and it's also why i like to chat ooc to keep in touch and keep the creative juices flowing with brainstorming in the meantime.
honesty is the best policy in my book; if one of us loses interest, i expect it to just be communicated. no hard feelings! i'm always down to switch plots or characters or tweak whatever we need to in order to continue, or to just drop the rp so no one is left wondering. no offense is intended or will be taken if this happens. it's a natural part of writing process

I'm looking for...

-> someone who is "casual advanced' meaning you can write 1000 words per post but recognize you don't always have to. i write a lot. like a lot a lot. and i expect my partners to do so as well. now that's not to say i want this much every time. i understand that conversations between characters run dry, action scenes often require quick, short exchanges, and that's fine. quality over quantity as a general rule. there's an ebb and flow to every rp, sometimes there is a lot to say, sometimes there's not. in all honestly, even if you don't think you can write that much consistently, that's fine too! i may be picky but i'm not impossible, and i'm flexible when it comes to finding a plot that works for both our writing abilities, as long as we're all upfront in the beginning about it.

that's pretty much my only requirement ^^ i don't rp w minors and i don't do nsfw

as far as writing goes:
-> i only rp humans, sorry!
-> i prefer to write male characters but have no problem writing females or nbs
-> i don't want romance to be the main focus but it can be part of it. that being said, i will not do fxf.
-> i will almost always want to do an original plot over a fandom rp, but don't hesitate to ask. [i will not do canon characters, only ocs]
-> i'm a big fan of unconventional ideas. i don't generally like cliches or stereotypical tropes but there are exceptions to every rule.

i have some plots already in mind, they are mostly loose and allow for collaboration and world-building. i will not write them all out here, as i am careful about when and where and with whom i share them. listed below are generic themes for each one. if any are of interest, either send me a pm or post on this thread. of course if you have any of your own ideas you think would work, hit me up with those too!

these are just things i've been wanting to write lately, most interested ones at the top; just ask if you want further details about them! strikethroughs are least interested but not off the table!

-> pony express circa 1860 meets brokeback mountain
-> werewolf x necromancer
-> gay princes from opposing kingdoms <3
-> pirates!!! a platonic power couple rises to prominence on the seven seas with clashing motives in a time when piracy is coming to an end

-> a world between the fabric of all worlds and an adventure that spans many of them; a lost soul and a guide meet; vanishings; fight or flight choice of a lifetime
-> mermaid-esque civilization; a coup; betrayal/secrets/lies; bonds tested
-> knights of the round table reincarnated
-> hunger games; 25th quarter quell in the districts; opposite personality characters; a failed rebellion
-> post-post-apocalyptic/backwardly-progressed future; isolated cities in isolated countries; humans used as entertainment; escape attempt from oppression
-> assassins creed [in a historical alternate reality]; island vibes; complicated relationships; rumors and lies; classic fight against tyranny

-> lake-dwelling monster; small town girl and city boy; missing persons; pirates

This sounds fantastically fun. I adore the idea of that small town mystery - details please!
