Such a good response, spooks! The way you write Minerva has her coming across as very genuine and humanizing.

I should mention that I've really enjoyed reading everybody's responses. All so well done, each a good read! I think we've got a good bunch of folks for this RP.

I agree with CowboyLavaLamp, I could actually relate to her even (have worked in busy restaurants & cafes before, with some anxiety). I really like her, and the little bit of detail you gave about the diner being busier than usual because ~celestial events~

Can I also confirm which event it's going to be? Are we going with a solar eclipse or lunar eclipse?

I've had a bit too much drama going on with John so apologies for not shoving him into a train yet

I can't wait until all the characters meet! The build up is epic

Thanks, you have no idea how much that means to me. Likewise with Reese! I've actually started noticing myself being reminded of him when certain songs come on, I'm getting attached xD

Haha! I'm not alone in thinking that certain songs fit Reese then x'DD I've been searching for some considerably old banjo/folk Ozark songs that would go along with him, I find listening to the songs that fit his history/personality help me write so well! That Cash song you chose for John is sooo good. My favorite from JR is 'Hey Porter'. I actually came across a song yesterday that made me think of John but I've forgotten the name. x')

I swear I'm reading everything both here and on the roleplay thread!

Life just gave me a kick in the head and today is the first day I've felt human enough to reply. Even if it is a very manic reply, just like this one. XD

I don't think it came across very well because my thought process currently fueled by new meds and Red Bull, but the couple were affected by her due to an internal war on their part. And by that I mean cheating with the boss; Charani just inflamed that inner struggle/battle to keep their hands to themselves. Not all wars are won, and carnal desires are definitely battles lost more often than not in humanity. Or maybe I'm just bitter... Anyway, I figured all conflicts, even inner ones, could be affected by her. However, if Death/John is nearby his power to "inspire" people trumps hers. In fact, likely both Famine/Reese's and Pestilence/Zyepsyr's power over the mental aspects are stronger than hers. Unless someone just harbors a lot of hatred/rage I guess.

I agree, solar eclipse would be much more interesting! It's got my vote.~

Reading everyone's replies has been so amazing! All the characters are inspiring, and kinda terrifying, in their own ways and they seem like they'll be a hoot once their all together!

Finally got a War I mostly like. And just a fun little tidbit, but I imagine Lupta's voice to sound like Kevin Grevioux when he played Raze in the Underworld franchise.

@Alcarie, to clarify, John has the "inspiration to self-harm" and degenerative illness effect towards those he has feelings for, whether positive or negative. It doesn't affect random people for no reason, so it's different from War/Charani, where it's her own emotions that affect the people & animals physically around her.

Charani's powers to affect people are not weaker than John's, it's a matter of personal attachment versus lack thereof. If there was, for example, a scenario where someone John cared about was in the same room as himself and Charani, his influence over the person would be stronger. But if it was some random person instead, Charani's influence would prevail. War/Charani has to be calm & collected to avoid unnecessary damage in her immediate environment, while Death/John has to isolate and detach himself from both people and animals in order to protect them from himself. I hope that makes sense.
I'm sorry if it wasn't clear, I'm figuring it out as I go along, and trying to make it seem balanced.

Also, your War horse is the bomb

I guess I need to reread John's power portion of his bio again because I somehow missed that he had to have some sort of 'feelings' for a person before the effects would take hold. DX Whoops! For some reason I was thinking his emotions also had an influence on his power, and if that was the case Death trumps War, or the two powers would feed one another. John having to learn to detach himself or risk causing a friend/enemy harm is a brilliant idea though!! I love it even more than when I thought it was like Rani's.~ Even if it is really freakin' depressing, because poor John.
