THE LEAD

Kieston




Those were the last words spoken by Kieston's mother as she walked him to the edge of their packs territory. Too weak to be of service, too dumb to be helpful, Kieston had been left with a decision; leave or rot. Harsh winters were common in that pack, and their hunters, while skilled, were no match for the weather that would torment their lands. Pushed out by his pack leader, Kieston's mother had walked him to the very edge, determined to see him through at least part of the journey. As he left the very place that had always been home for him, being a wolf who had just barely left adolescence, Kieston walked for as far as he could. Until he came upon Intora.

CAVE 1.    THE ROYAL COURT

In this cave you will find the wolves who are the closest to The Lead and the most important wolves to the pack.

The Herbalist, The Ruling Hunter, The Mate, The Ruling Scout, The Stud, and The Ruling Pupsitter are all a part of this cave. Wolves who are not bestowed any of these roles may still join and actively participate in The Royal Court, though only upon explicit permission and insistence of The Lead.

These wolves are the original primary wolves who shaped the pack to be what it is today. Brought from nothing and raised to greatness, these wolves have made a name of themselves through this very pack. Without them, the sanctuary of The Espousals would not exist.

Wandering the forests of the Deciduous, Gallatin had been a lone wolf for many moons, even going through numerous Lunar Cycles without a pack to support them. Living solely on the prey they would catch, Gallatin had grown skilled as a stalker.

Strolling upon the little den that had then made up The Espousals, Gallatin had a stark realization; he missed the company of other wolves. Living a life alone had provided them with most of what they needed, but they'd grown lonely in their solitary. Seeing the small group of wolves, skinny and near starving, had brought about a sadness in their heart. They would help this small group as much as they can.

And they did. Through their strength and their determination, and a little help from Cowboy, they had managed to keep their small group fed through the harshest of winters.

CAVE 2.    THE KNOWN KINNIERS

The Kinniers are kin, or descendants, from the royal court. Through blood or mere relation, these wolves are vital to the pack; They are the inheritors of the roles.

Once the bequeathed wolf dies, or for some other reason is no longer part of the pack, the Kinnier will receive the role the bequeathed formerly had. This goes for any and all roles, including The Lead.

The current duties these wolves have is simply observing. Understanding the ways of the role held by their bequeathed, memorizing their duties and importances. The pack will lean on them in the future, and they must be ready to take on the role swiftly and solidly.

THE WOLVES:

Tulip   

Kin of Volturie, Tulip had been born with an oddness.

Her eyes were strangely pale, and through tests and trials it was determined that she was not able to view things fully. She understood her shapes, depths, and shadows, as they were all things that she could distinguish. Yet her ability to view stopped there.

It was established that she could never take on an official role, as it would be too much of a risk of safety. These rules would not stop Tulip. She was dedicated to making something of herself, and Tulip had pushed her way up to The Known Kinniers by proving time and time again that while she could never take on an official role, she was still an important and valuable asset to have close to The Lead.

Sharp minded, Tulip was focused on the tasks she would be given. She preferred to to do things thoroughly, fully dedicating her time and energy into doing what was asked of her. When given an issue that other wolves have struggled with, Tulip was known for giving her all to finding the perfect solution to any problem.
