Groups: Let us search the Manage Members list
Posted 2023-07-29 12:35:49 (edited) #1046415 Edit 12/18/24: I'm grateful for the new groups update allowing us to search the normal members list, but it's a bit disappointing that the manage members list, which is arguably more important for group administrators, still cannot be searched (or filtered!). Right now, the group feature has no easy way to locate a member in the "manage members" list if you want to edit their role or remove them. You have to go through page after page to find the member you want, which is super time consuming, or track members' pages some other off-site way, like Google Sheets. It doesn't seem like it would be very difficult to implement -- something exactly like what the current Member page has would suffice! ---------------------- Kind of a side note: When I first realized there was no easy way to locate members, I was searching for a workaround when I saw that each member seems like they have a unique ID on their "Edit" page (in Manage Members). Here's an example link: https://www.wolvden.com/g/clan/999/manage/members/1234 At first, it seemed like I'd found a (kind of) solution! 1234 is this member's ID, right? So if I want to edit User #1000, I can just plug their ID at the end of the link instead (..../manage/members/1000), right? Nope! These IDs are unique to members (as far as I know), but for whatever reason, aren't the same as their user IDs. So here's the second (and probably less important) part of my suggestion: let us access member edit pages by URL using members' actual IDs, instead of these different mystery ones.	Shadow #9999

Right now, the group feature has no easy way to locate a member in the "manage members" list if you want to edit their role or remove them. It doesn't seem like it would be very difficult to implement -- something exactly like what the current Member page has would suffice!

I agree with this fully! I was so hyped when I saw they added searching but then was a bit dissapointed when it wasn't available in the place it would make management easier. This especially is true for when you have 100+ group members.

Omg YES PLEASE my group was once at 300 members and it was impossible to find people to change roles! Now my group is revamped and I'm literally dreading switching people's roles around, this would be a HUGE help!
