[Fishing] Invasive Species

Perhaps the "new shop" area could start with just showing the info about the invasive species, and description telling to practice hunting them, because there will later be an NPC who will give reward for catching them But it'd be better if it started off as a shop, but small at the beginning, so people can right away trade in their invasives and save up currency; it can start with but a couple small decors to buy, and get more stuff added later, as people collect more currency to spend. How would Fish Scales be for currency for it? Small silvery-blue scales can make a good icon, and they fit in theme to a fishing shop. |

Also as someone who lives and fishes in a swamp down in Louisana, the Asian carp is a SUPER annoying invasive fish, good choice there! |

We're shaping that list to be up-to-date, thank you people! :D That would be cool if it was more than just a minigame! An own button in Crossroads would be epic, as fishing game is a huge, very exciting and interesting feature that Wolvden has, and it can grow to be more than a simple minigame, but a full-size game feature |

Lioden recently added a feature for their little battle beetles minigame that's the Beetle Book that holds a bunch of real like facts and statistics about the various beetle / insect species' in game and I think something like that would be amazing as both a little education tool and a fun activity to fill out while you go about fishing! It could have blurbs about the species, including if they're invasive or not, where you've caught them in game, maybe their IRL habitats, and a record of the heaviest one you've caught? I think it could be cute as a "limited time" shop tied to the in-game calendar rather than the IRL one. Maybe the shop-keeper goes into hibernation for winter and is available through spring and fall? 18 days on / 6 days off doesn't feel too punishing for a side shop and gives a fun hint of realism as well! |
