Posted 2023-11-03 23:35:02 #1087830 i am confusion regarding the merle redraw; i am under the assumption people don't understand how markings work? either side of the marking is different from the other, that is the appeal and intention of a merle. the relaxed pose reveals hidden creative liberties taken by the devs that are otherwise hidden by the default and sentinel poses. i feel mirroring the marking, so that the marking remains identical no matter which way the wolf is facing, is a concept pondered by a donut with no understanding of marking theory. i will miss seeing the true and full beauty of the merle, and what it used to be.

It is currently mirrored, and identical no matter which way the wolf faces. For example, the nose splotch that is on the wolf's left side in the default pose is on its right side in the relaxed pose. This change will add the creative liberties from the artists that you're lamenting the removal of, not take them away, as they do not currently exist.

Players are strongly discouraged of combining Lioden ideas with Wolvden as we were specifically told this would be a separate style than the sister site. - Many players already have a hard time understanding why we aren't getting that much attention here (besides the last anniversary update) and are still holding on to developers words (such as addition of special currency in Enclave). There are many decors that could use an extra hand in 'remaking'. Or valentines wolves, or the scars, and few other features. We understand the work is rough so we are trying to wait. - Lioden has been around for maybe 10 years longer than Wolvden has been around, so why not keep Lioden job advertisements to Lioden? Give wolvden a fighting chance…. - Lastly… Having this job advertisement here makes me wonder if we (as players) are paying IN wolvden FOR lioden… My heart seriously drops if that's the case. I want to support this game platform, that's why I'm here, not in Lioden. I hope I was appropriate in this message and I make sense. I'm sure I'm not the only one thinking this….

The post rubbed me the wrong way and I did not know how to put it into words but I'm glad someone else said it better than me. It's....kind of distasteful to post an ad for LD over here....? When there's so much that needs to be fixed and tweaked here. Why not hire more artists here? It'd be nice to get more decor more often. The player bases' art and ideas shouldn't be better than the official one, lmao. There's still two wolf decor not finished from the Valentine's event - with all due respect but the heck are you guys doing? Like I get LD is the larger "sister" site but it's been over a year and this site still runs like ass. You guys need to hire more people to deal with everything that's been plaguing this site for far too long. It should not be slow as molasses after every. Single. Rollover. Every. DAY. After 15-20 mins it should be running as smooth as butter. I'm sorry if I sound harsh but it's getting to be too much. I love this site! I want to spend real life money to support ya'll but I'm afraid I won't be doing so anymore until further notice. That makes me sad. I liked tossing in some cash once in a blue moon to treat myself and to support pet sites but I feel guilty doing it now.

Posted 2023-11-04 05:55:37 (edited) #1087894 Presumptive apologies, but have the mods not considered that advertising for artists in a sister game, one that has just gone through a third anniversary whereas said sister game has gone through 10, one that has legit just had an event be called "unfinished" and "reduced" explicitly because of art issues, one that STILL has yet to complete backlogs of event art from February, one that has had this advertisement be posted in a "news" notice that is meant to be for the community of the smaller, neglected game...is kind of a jerk move? In your post there is absolutely zero mention of wanting to hire artists for Wolvden despite admittances that content and events for this game have struggled because of the art. It's astounding to read in black and white, printed so nonchalantly. I understand being grateful for the effort the devs and mods put into this game, but I am frustrated at this behaviour BECAUSE I care for the game.
