If what you're asking is whether or not two wolves that happen to share an ancestor, but have been adopted, so let's say you adopt siblings, they will likely still count as inbreeding if bred together. The normal heritage is saved after adoption, so it would make sense that is the case. I've never really tested any of this, so I'm basing it all on a lot of assumptions, but I imagine it's true simply based on how adoption is tracked. |

If the adopted puppy is paired with an adopted parent, and they don't have common ancestors, then their pups will not be inbred. In your case, you are saying the adopted puppy is the pup of two males that share grandparents? No, the puppy is still not inbred, as it is not related to these males like a biological pup between them would have, assuming one of the males is switched to a female and is paired. I hope that explains things better! |
