How can I tell what a wolf is worth?. Is there something I can use to tell what a wolf is worth?.

I usually just check out the Trading Center and see what similar pups are going for.

The wolf I have that I want to sell is an adult,I've tried looking up some of her markings and her base but have found nothing. So there really isn't any way for me to know what she would sell for.

Assuming we're talking about your NBW, she doesn't seem very valuable. The only interesting thing about her is the Crotalus eyes. If you get her carrier status checked, that might reveal something interesting. But without that, I'd sell her for 1sc reimbursed and just get rid of her.

I wouldn't of sold that Crotalus for only 1 SC. That is a steep loss. On Trading Center, she could've went for at minimum 5 GC. As well, I just sold my own for 15 GC a couple days ago, adding a bit more value to her with some training. This was two days ago: Trade [ Chased ] 100% Stalk lvl11, 245 Wis+Smr, Crotalus (#5412115) bought out by Nana (#126612) for 15 GC! 2023-11-20 12:25:43

Most chased, assuming they are not basic NBWs, go for at least 150 SC or higher depending on the wolf.

Wolves will have different values based on Tiers, whether they are a carrier or not, if they have a mutation, and based on stats. Comboing desired traits will increase the value of your wolf, of course.
Bases are TI, TII, TIII, and T*, with TIII tending to be the most valuable. Especially on an NBW, which is true for any trait. Value tends to be lost through generations if that wolf isn't keeping up on stats, so keep that in mind.
Markings and Eyes also have tiers based on whether they are applicator applied, from raffle stud, RMA, common, NBW exclusive, custom, or breed-only. Marks will have their tiers alongside the marking name, and you can check what the tier means with the handy tooltip on the marking box. Eyes are more difficult to tell as they don't have official tiers at this time, but you can always ask another player about it if you haven't an idea, or use your search engine to see if you can find info that way.

I noticed as long as you focus at least on the statty part of the wolf, even the most potato wolves sell for around 10 GC, if not higher, if they are higher end for their generation (this is coming from confirmed observation over the last few months of my return with my wolves). At times, generation doesn't matter to people, depending on the buyer. Pretty/rare traits help with the sale, of course, and may even increase the overall value.

Always try to check if a trait is rare or not by using the Search Tool, and check prices by filling out the Wolves Search Box.
I suggest including the generation level of the wolf you are trying to sell when doing so.
When searching traits, be specific about which ones you are looking into to get a better idea of value. Such as, if you are looking up how Crotalus gen1s sell for, as linked in my first paragraph, you would find at the time of me writing, the lowest being sold is 4 GC. I would suggest going for a average based on the results if not higher when pricing.

Please feel free to approach me if you ever need pricing help! As well, if you have further questions or need clarification on anything, I would gladly explain it over to you. I know this is an awfully long read, and I apologize for that.

TL;DR//Keypoints:

  • Basic NBWs could sell for a decent price if trained. 100% pupsitter prof in particular is pretty valuable, and can likely sell for 2 GC or 600 SC.

  • Fodder tends to go for 25 SC minimum. Possibly can go as high as 100 SC on some fodder pups if they have a decent amount of traits.

  • In general, higher end statted wolves sell pretty well at 10 GC in my own experience. Keep in mind I sell G1s-G6s most of the time, but it may not matter. Often enough, people don't care about the gen as much as you might think.

  • Try getting more than one opinion when selling wolves. Wolves are a very saturated market, to no surprise in a breeding sim, so the prices vary drastically. Some people may be willing to spend higher for your wolf, others won't. Take risks, keep offers open, be patient and bump the trade often if you remember to. Sell cheap if you want the wolf gone fast, but don't cheat yourself if you can avoid it.

  • Don't waste too much time on trying to sell a wolf and taking care of it at the same time if it is lower end in value. Feeding it and keeping it happy will not be worth it if you take too long trying to sell it, when those extra resources can be sold for better income.

All this info comes from about over 400 wolf sales over the past few months, all in my own experience. Some days, you'll be very lucky with buyers. Other days may come dry.
My best advice is to be patient and be open about exactly what you are looking for from buyers, as otherwise offers, if you are accepting them, may not be desirable.
