Technically it is kind of a good ending since the Faelcu go away and stop taking wolves but like, it feels so unfair??? Not to mention the whole dialogue at the end of the storyline is just so sad, the Faelcu say they'll give the wolves they took back but end up giving just one, and even made Sirona (an herbalist) destroy herbs?? The stuff she works with???? They're just straight up lying assholes that make you feel sympathy for them for being sealed away and having their promises broken (pretty hard to be sympathetic when they do the things they do), I was reading that dialogue full of rage

So I suggest a new ending: where you defeat the Faelcu and (maybe) get both Lowen and Conall back? But since you get both wolves I think people would be aiming for this ending most so some things need to balanced. I'm not saying to scrap the main ending but add a new one where things feel a little more fair

Support! Not everything has a happy ending, but this one just felt like a letdown imo

I think a few big reasons the ending was weird are
1. For a choice-driven story, you… don't get much of a choice. Everything about the end led me to believe there was going to be options, but there really aren't. You have to screw over the other packs regardless
2. We never interact with these so called "other packs" which takes away pretty much the entire moral dilemma. Of course you're going to side with Sirona and her pack, they're the only ones we ever meet, thus the only ones we have any attachment to. The other packs just exist as a plot device, and it makes the choice to destroy their herbs and sacrifice their wolves…not as weighty as it should be
3. Tied to #2, you HAVE to sacrifice the other pack wolves. not everyone is playing a lead that would so readily roll over and throw them under the bus like that, which means a lot of players get forced into an incredibly out of character action - I know plenty of other people's leads would throw down with the Faelcu before even thinking about the alternative, even if it was risky

I also don't feel like balance should be too much of a worry even? The choices that give specific bases could remain similar, albeit edited to fit different routes, which means players get a base no matter what they do, and the other rewards are given just for completing the story, choices not mattering - tldr: even if everyone played to save both wolves and get a happy ending, it wouldn't change the rewards, so it's fine if everyone aims to do it

I agree, the ending felt a bit flat and unsatisfying. But I agree it didn't feel like much of a choice in the ending that we got. Got more complaints about the story but it's more personal preference than anything. But the ending being an improved, I do think that needs to happen.
