The poll is a bit tricky ngl, since sexualities/preferences are important and they're there for a reason, but then again maybe some people really want the NPC's decor but wouldn't be able to get it because of their lead wolf.. really tricky question

From what I read (I was on Lioden last year but lurked the WD forums to see what the new event was about), I don't think you could change your gender partway through. I think if you could, people wouldn't have been quite as distraught about some of the genders not having enough romanceable partners to get the achievement, since they'd just be able to change for achievement purposes. I don't know what happens when you change the lead - I don't remember anyone mentioning it.

After reading some of the comments here and looking up the dateable NPCs and their preferences, I agree that they should keep their sexualities. I think it's more fun that way and they seem to have preferences regarding more than just your gender so it doesn't feel out of place to me. I do, however say this as someone who has never been through a February event before, so it's possible that I change my mind.  We'll see ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

i like the characters having their sexuality/gender preferences, but i don't really care if it changed, but it is true that it makes the event more unique, and i think its fun

I'd honestly be really sad if the character preferences/orientations got erased.

Also like, in the case of Violet (a female who likes females and nonbinary wolves) she's named after a lesbian symbol and her eyes are of the same symbol. I highly doubt that was a coincidence. It would be a major bummer to have her suddenly like males just for collection reasons.
