Preferred pose, emotion: Any! Do whatever you'd like. I also get he's brachy but you can make him into a normal pup or anything you'd like.
Preferred colors for shading/lighting: Any that works with you.
Maybe extra details: Redwood is supposed to be very foresty/deery aspired, could you maybe put twigs or leaves in his neck fluff?
