I'll have to get back to you on my camp location. Midnight, which side of the coniferous forest do you want? |

Would this be okay for you? (I of course will remove the names immediately from the map again, it's just so you understand what I mean ) Edit: I also want a river, so that's no problem! |

They make their camp primarily in a partial cave made up of a natural, southward-facing rock bridge formation (it has a waterfall that opens up into a somewhat shallow lake that one has to tread over to reach the dry land of the sleeping area), though they have smaller dens in a few locations throughout their territory as a precaution against flooding. These can be near anywhere you desire, Midnight. These smaller dens are also used during an annual elk migration and follow a rough linear fashion (Im thinking Prairie). The elk love the woodland for its vegetation but before the wet seasons that make it difficult to calf, they move down toward flatter pastures. Shadow Runners follow them as far as they can through the woodland until the edge of their territory. They feast on stores of food and smaller prey during winter. Meadows are more common in the dry months, and one southward of their main den is the primary training location. That's all I can think of at the moment. |

My pack has a prayer that they say for the souls of their prey after each successful hunt. This prayer is an important lesson for apprentice hunters, especially if they are disturbed by killing or show disrespect to the prey. The prayer's exact wording varied for years until it was codified by Falcontail, dictated by Sunflare in the version taught to her by her uncle Skyflash. That standardized version is this: "We must respect our prey, as they die to sustain us. We give them only the fear and pain necessary to claim their lives, as we hope the Ancestors do for us when our time comes. Do not weep for our prey, as their hardships in this world are over. They will find peace on the other side, as all innocent souls do." |
