More titles for featured wolf

Posted 2020-12-05 18:11:06

I'm sorely needing "Heir," to the point that I'm using Beta and just noting that, basically, in-lore it just means "heir."

More royal and familial titles would be good. I title all my wolves with family titles since that's pretty much what a pack is, and being able to just have my main wolf be Father or Mother would be good.

I also like the idea of it being customizable, with a word filter.

I would love a customizable featured title. My pack is led by a Queen, and her mste, the featured, is called the King-Mate, as he is only king as long as he is her chosen mate.

while i love all the dropdown ideas, i think a freeform box (given it has some filters) is what's really needed, and could maybe be in grove underneath name change for 1-3GC c:

Honestly, for both lead wolf and featured wolf, I would love Chief and Chieftess to be added. I have a pack structure rn, becauce I really don't have many other choice other than doing a kingdom esq set up with king/queen, but when it comes to wolves I prefer more of a tribal type society. It's more interesting and I prefer to deviate away from the stereotypical alpha wolf structure.

I agree with Shiba #19068 & others

This week I need "Heiress" as my first wolf is retiring, but would like to have a freeform box included with any added titles.

Support!  However,  I'd also like more titles for the lead wolf.

Some of my own suggestions  ( if there are some doubles,  my apologies! )

Patriarch/Matriarch
Sovereign

Featured Wolf

Liege
Lieutenant
Prince/Princess
Priest/Priestess
Progeny

Support for an option to input our own title

I would support fully customizable titles, but if that's not possible, then I think at least the featured wolf title selection could use some more neutral rank-related terms. Co-Leader, Second in Command, Deputy, etc. My current pack doesn't mesh with the royalty or alpha-beta setups, "mate" doesn't work when they're not mates, "friend" and "companion" seem too informal, so there aren't any options that would be suitable for my current pack lore.

I support having it fully customizable. For example I wanted the featured wolf to say Beloved Daughter, and had to go with Friend instead.

Adding my own. Sorry if any of these are mentioned before. Made my own thread by mistake so gotta put all my titles here and don't have time to read through 4 pages.

Also fine with fully customizable!

Alpha / Pack Leader
Main Character (Mentioned in a post here)
Commander (A more army like term)
Captain (A pirate like term, could be used for other things)
Ruler (For harsher packs where the leader rules with force)
Clan Leader (Inspiration from Warrior Cats)
Peacemaker (Kind of the oppisite of Ruler. A leader that wants to bring peace to the lands)

Secondary Wolf Titles
Healer (My fave option. A lot of people have beautiful healers)
Favorite Wolf (Can easily show any wolf. Different from Featured Wolf because it shows the emotion)
Enforcer (For harsher packs)
Deputy (Inspiration from Warrior Cats)
Omega (Maybe someone wants to display the bottom-most ranking wolf)
Partner (A gender nuetral term often used by the LGBT+ community. I know Mate is also gender nuetral but it would be very nice to see this added. I know lioden supports pride month every year with pride items!)
Arch Nemesis / Enemy Leader (Would be a cool dynamic for someone to show their leader's enemy / rival)
Heir (A very obvious choice with how often people pick out their next leader)
Best of Show (A fun dog name referring to dog competions. Might be good for more dog-like packs)
