Allow All Males to Breed within the Pack

I will also give this my full support. It would both give players a reason to have male wolves outside their main male and would also reduce the number of litters being bred, both things that would improve the game.

I don't see how this would reduce the number of litters I right now I'm skipping heats because I don't want to pay for a stub if all males in pack were breedable I wouldn't skip any and personally I think it would increase the number of litters and allow for mass breeding with only territory space limiting players

Kalika, right now think of a pack as 1 male 10 females. That's ten potential litters. Even if players skip some, that's still a lot of potential litters. With males being useful, think of a pack more like 5 males 6 females. Now it's only 6 potential litters each heat cycle. Less puppies.

I would love this idea to be implemented! I hate looking at pups for sale in the forums and incorporating an extra 3GC to spend on sex changing them. There should be more use for those male wolves.

Edit: Also, when you have a breeding male who is not your lead wolf, it kind of makes it so that you don't have much use for your lead. The only time I use him is when I am exploring. As much as that's important, it would be nice to have the option to breed him and use his stats for pups as well as my assigned breeding male. Maybe the breeding male can have more slots per week (15) than say, the other wolves who could have 5 or so.

True but still every heat resulting in a litter right now its 10 wolves but only some resulting in a litter

And there's also the stud market to consider how would that be protected if all players now had five breedable males free to useat all times

Studding males for the most part would become useless in the long run

Studs who aren't pretty or high stat are ignored right now as is. There will still be demand for studs - that's been proven across plenty of similar sites.

Every heat maybe resulting in a litter is still less potential pups overall.

My breeding male is among the less popular only getting a stud rarely but I still want to get the occasional stud

All males would mean I would be completely ignored because my breading male wasn't super special I think both the number of litters and the stud market for all players needs to be considered

It's not really fair to say the less popular studs don't really mater because no one uses them anyway

That's the literal truth though. Most studs are completely ignored or only get one request every once in a while, whereas the high stat all breedmark studs have sired hundreds of pups. There's not much economy to protect.

I may only get an occasional stud but I still benefit from that market it's unfair to all players like me to just say we don't matter because out breeding male is less popular the market should be protected for all you use it not just the ones who have the most desirable males

That’s just it though, the stud market gears towards those that have the highest stats/rare bases/ hot new markings so naturally people will stud for those wolves instead of those with moderately ok stats and looks. It’s just a fact, not an insult and that’s just especially true if look back on Lioden which was very prevalent there too. Either way, the market isn’t gonna be the best if you don’t keep up with trends and put tons of money to get those things
