Allow All Males to Breed within the Pack

Sienna, we don't vote because we don't have any power. Devs have said that a suggestion being popular does not mean they'll implement it. Basically we're just having a conversation about different options, while devs watch and consider.

Okay, vote is probably the wrong word but I am not even sure I can offer an opinion cause there 31 pages and I can't really tell what is a referring the first post, what is a new suggestion, remarks about those...

@sienna snow i feel you there, i wish the OP would update the main post to be more specific about their topic given the many ideas being traded around on here

from what i understand though, the suggestion most people seem to agree with (and the one that seems to have the least potential problems/unnecessary limitations attached) is the one i said on the last page where males (except the breeding male) would work the same way as females do in terms of breeding and cooldowns except males wouldn't have a heat, so as soon as their cooldown ends they can be bred again at any point

To clarify, Sienna:

This thread has lead to a LOT of discussion, but the original post is just about all males having the ability to breed within a pack, and one male having studding abilities. If you just want to say support/don't support, that's the suggestion this thread is actually about.

A lot of discussion has been about possible ways this system could be unbalanced or be abused, as well as what limitations could be used to bring balance and limit abuses. The suggestion Sneep is talking about is one of these. Other breeding male systems have also been discussed, but the right place to throw in your support/don't support comments for those would be in threads specifically about those ideas, if they exist.

But yeah I'd love OP to chime in and either add some points/suggestions that have been made to the main post, or even just say like "hey, great discussion, but I'd prefer if from here on out we only discuss my suggestion" because I think a lot of repeat points are being made, and some people seem to think that this is a good thread to discuss other breeding male ideas while some think that those discussions shouldn't be here. Ultimately I think that's OP's call so I'm not TRYING to vague OP but also pls save us from ourselves

I agree that males should all be able to breed and have the same amount of breeding chances as females, but only one being a stud. Uh the end--

OP here! Sorry y'all, I just haven't had the energy until now to go through all the great ideas and discussion in this thread.

First of all I would like to thank everyone for sharing their insights and opinions! I will add the implementation of breeding cooldowns to the first post as that seems to be very popular (and also a great idea, in my personal opinion).

To clarify, the suggestion being proposed in this thread is that all males become able to breed within their own pack, similarly to the way females work, with possible restrictions. The current stud mechanic would remain unaltered. As this is a very big change, I'm sure discussion on different ways to implement it will help the devs decide what to do so I'm not against other ideas being expressed in this thread (I love reading them in fact). However if you have a very specific suggestion adjacent to this one, like breeding pairs or stud females, I'd ask you to please make a separate thread for it (you're welcome to link it here but keep discussion separated as to not derail this thread too much).

@red thanks for the summary! My opinion is more dependant on which system would be implemented so I can't really say support or no right now.
