I couldn't agree with this more. I also find males completely pointless right now, and my entire pack (except my breeding male) is female because of this. I've also spent so much GC on sex changers it's redonkulous. So many amazing pups born male! .-. Personally, I like the idea of males having the same cooldown rate as the females the best. As someone else said, it seems the most balanced way to do it. Definitely got my support! |

I support this 100%! I personally feel like allowing players to create breeding pairs within their own packs would be a good solution? Other players have brought up this idea before (if not in this suggestion thread, then in others). Like, everyone has their one public stud like it is now, and then closed breeding pairs within their own packs with wolves that cannot breed outside their pack/pair. This may be an unpopular idea, but to make it so people can't abuse a traditional breeding loophole, these breeding pairs could be permanent in that, once set, they can't be broken. As in, once you've paired or bonded a couple, they can only breed with each other, and the pair can't be split up (...at least not without a penalty of some sort). This would put a limit on how often non-main males can breed, as they'd be locked into one pairing, thereby making it so they can only breed when their partner comes into heat. Imo, that'd make it so non-main males aren't siring litters at a game-breaking rate. But I have to admit that it's really restrictive, too, so idk. Simple cooldowns could work instead, although that would still leave the issue of the loophole, I think. |

Huge support!! The way things have been going so far I’ve felt like male wolves here are just slightly more functional than male lions on Lioden. Yeah they can fulfill more roles here, but beyond that they still just sit there looking pretty and there’s not much desire to have nice looking male wolves if only one can be bred to. |

Support! I have a beautiful male with natural colors in my pack, I used him for the breeding quest since he's the mate of my main and it makes me sad that I can't use him again because he wouldn't be a worthy enough breeding male. I don't like how I'm forced to choose between my lore or making SC though stud requests. |

@Kiki the master list is so people can find already suggested topics and we don't end up with multiples of the same thing. Doesn't mean anything more then that. |

@Kiki: unfortunately, I think they only link posts so that the same popular ideas aren't reposted all the time. But we can hope! |

@Scarlet @QueenofFrowns Aw man thanks for letting me know! I assumed those were topics that they were considering. But yeah I still have hope this can be implemented in the future :) |

I want to go ahead and say that I dislike permanent pairs and don't support that version of the suggestion. There's another thread that suggested a pairing system already, and support for it should be kept seperate to this one imo. My reasoning is that if players who want to have one stud and many females can breed to anything, there's no reason for us to be restricted any more than the pack males getting the same number of breeds per lifetime as females (I.e. through cooldowns or through a "lifetime slots" system). I'd prefer something that was equal, not heavily skewed towards one sex, and not limited to the point where it's choosing between a rock and a hard place. I understand the realism aspect, but I have a pet peeve with games forcing monogamy, and it's not the way I'd want to play at all. A pair system doesn't doesn't add anything, or prevent anything, that the other less strict options do, but it does force you to have rigid plans you won't be able to change for months, like the current system does. I support lifetime slots per male that are equivalent to the number of heats a female has, or 20-day cooldowns (because if you pay to instant birth you'd be out of sync). I don't want to end up being forced into one of two options. I'd rather the solution just encouraged a pair system, and kept things flexible for everyone else. |
