I can’t believe the mods and all actually listened to the suggestions :D

I'm super happy they at least listened to suggestions, but it is disappointing that they chose to implement the far less popular suggestion when I can't really see anything wrong with just making males breed with cooldowns. Plus the 2 a month thing is definitely just leading to a paywall. Just kinda,,, doesn't make sense. It's an improvement from before, but i really don't like the pairing system, especially when it's so limited.

PLUS, i can't change my "male" wolves to actual males now because while they were females i bred them which is a huge bummer. if they had given us any indication that they would be changing this then my males would still be males/unbred females. i really don't like how they don't give prior acknowledgement of suggestions the moment they decide to make the change, because they've def been working on this code for a while so we could have known weeks ago. like,,, what is a news post if not for news like "hey we saw ur suggestion and we are working on a way to breed other males! stay tuned" like bruh. if they had said that then i would be like "yeah it's on me that i wasn't patient enough to wait for the update" but i literally had no way of knowing i would be able to do anything with my males :/ PLUS to all the people who might have recently sold a male pup for a super low price but they would have been a valuable female, i would guess it's really annoying to know that just a little sentence in the news would have given them a heads up

all in all, glad they're kind of listening and i'm very happy to see some of the people happy! but personally not thrilled with the change or its execution

I do hope for improvements as well and that they Don't do a paywall thing

I guess for now we'll see how things go as i do see this as a trial run sort of thing for now

For now, many are happy and so am I But only for now until this little trial is over as i personally see it as such.

I wish you could disband the pair bond you make for the quest immediately after you finish it without the cool down and such. Now 2 of my wolves are stuck together, and I only wanted to put them together for the quest.

The 30 day cooldown is simply far too long. That is an entire month. Far, far too long. I'm not even sure the game will hold my interest by the week, let alone a month. I don't mind the cooldowns we already deal with but they are a bit exhausting and now with this one...I am beginning to feel quite exhausted.

Aside from that it's a...nice step forward? Hopefully more wiggle room will be granted or stuff will be tweaked over time.

I do wish we had a sort of warning because I had sex changed a male wolf and REALLY wanted to keep as male recently, but now can't sex change back for this feature at all due to having bred them. There were some pretty males I wound up chasing too that would've been perfect for this :S Definitely feel a bit sour about it.

@ClanofBlazes yeah, that's another thing that bothers me. Most other quests Tala undoes everything, since it's often for the sake of a tutorial and little else. I'm happy I was careful about choosing wolves for the tutorial. I was dangerously close to getting stuck with bonded siblings and the only thing that made me pick a better choice was a gut feeling. :|

all i wished was more pairs per pack tbh? im very happy with the change but it feels too strict. i also agree it should have had a warning. i haven't come back until today for the game due to unmotivation and some mental health issues and had no idea about the roll over counter in the wolves, now they all say they've been in my pack for 1 roll over and i have to wait six days to finish the quest! if we had prior warning, it would have made things so much easier.

The change feels strict, but honestly, I'm excited to see how it works. I'm glad they implemented something!

@sneep speaking as a game developer (on a different game) we basically never do that. The problem is that a lot of things can go wrong very quickly in game development, and "simple" changes often cause a cascade of bugs no one could have predicted.

By giving early notice before a feature is done, you put extra pressure on the devs to get the feature out earlier. This usually ends with frustrated players AND frustrated devs. If you release any other updates, your players are like "but why isn't it Y, we were promised Y" and if you don't release anything the entire playerbase gets stagnant.

Usually, features that are announced in advance are either already done and just being held back for pacing/event timing, or almost done and in final QA.

It would have been kinder of them to give, say, every player a sex change that could be used regardless of breeding, but I'm not sure their lineage system is robust enough to handle that.

At the risk of being salty ... I guess I won't use this feature and will continue to chase males. For Lore perfect but the cool downs are disproportionate and I believe that a majority (of course not all) were really looking for a free breeding system here, as in the heading of the threat ...

Otherwise, I have to praise the developers for looking at the wishes of the players and trying to implement them as best they can. You can't please everyone, but you guys are great! ❤🤗
