Let Us Scry Regardless of Age! (maybe gender too?)

I was really surprised when I encountered this limitation - I assumed scrying on here would be as seamless as on Lioden. |

Support. I was going to see what kind of children my two lavender wolves would make only to see that nope, can't scry them, one is an adol and the other a pup, which, well, sucks. I wanted to see if they are worth making into a bonded pair too. It would be really nice to be able to scry regardless of age, it will help users pick who to bond, who not to, what to sell (or chase) and who to pick as new breeding male for the pack because they would make nice pups. |

One thing is concerning me: wouldn't it make albinos and melanistic wolves more common as everybody will be aware of their own potential carriers which defeats the purpose of considering genes hidden? |

I mean the concept of this idea is to be able to scry everywolf with everywolf. You're not certain if any wolf is a carrier until you scry or breed. Carriers being not visible as carriers is an intentional feature of this game. Once you're able to scry any pair, you'll almost surely know which wolves are carriers. |

I mean can't you do it regardless anyway once the wolf itself is an adult? Sure you aren't able to scry to a wolf that's of different age or sex but- I'm probably not grasping what your trying to say lmao and I apologize I have a peanut-sized brain |

That's right. Scrying regardless of age would save a lot of time since it's just tedious and time-consuming to keep pups just for purpose of seeing potential offspring. Therefore, I like this idea unless I am convinced otherwise but it's tough to think about it. Scrying regardless of gender? It's not a matter of time in this case. You need to pay for Sex Changer, a lot of them if you want to scry every possible pair. Allowing to scry regardless of gender would defeat the purpose of having genders assigned to pups when they're born. |

I want to Scry pup and adols to see what kind of pups they'd give Not for Mutations cuz 1. i don't give a damn and 2. LD doesn't work that way so i know WD Shouldn't either. We pretty much are saying we want a stone like LD, we can scry with cubs and adols, even different gender to see if the cups we have or want are worth getting or even sex changing to match with a partner of interest for a project we want to do. This is a feature that is worth bring over from LD as a whole :"D (Sorry devs but i needed an example of what we are going for and better Explain what many are thinking of for this fix honestly; *repeat bows and apologizes* T^T) Males are less worthless now but still not as good as keeping females. Being able to scry a pair regardless of age or gender shows the possibility of pretty pups or if a pair would throw ugly ones. Scrying only shows what could be made if the pair are bred. It takes resources and space to take care of a pup you are raising up Just to see if it'll make good Offspring with whoever you have in mind to pair them with. If the matches are shitty then the time spent was a waste and you have to get rid of that pup now adult cuz to you it is worthless. so here's a bit that'd be useful to clarify so we can get this fixed Asap; Scrying Should Never show mutations period. Carrier or not and only show if a pairing will have pretty babies or not. |

Yeah, scrying for mutations is the only ability that gives me concerns regarding this suggestion. However, removing mutations from scrying stone would be unfair for players who haven't got them yet because those who've already taken advantage of it will take another advantage of mutations being harder to obtain as their mutated wolves would get even more valuable than they currently are. Personally, I wouldn't mind it though. |

Honestly if the mutation scrying were kept it would only mean that the stone would become even more of an sc sink than it already is if we were allowed to scry pups and adols. Which means you do spend resources to find that one pair that could possibly give you muties. And even then it's still just a chance, not a guaranteed mutated pup. If you get bad RNG luck you may even never get one from the pair in their entire lifetime. With that I think it's not that much of a problem. And a lot of people pay more attention to having pretty wolves than muties too. |
