Frostbite [Illness]

Frostbite [Illness]

Hi devs!

We currently have the illness heatstroke, but I noticed their is no alternative for that with cold so I thought: why not suggest one! However, I couldn't decide on just one, so I'm suggesting both. Here is Frostbite and hypothermia can be found here

Effects

  • Symptoms: Tingly paws, numbness, blistering, pale skin
  • No or minimal art change. I was thinking possibly making the skins, nose, ears, and tail appear bluish-red (bruised almost) and blistered/wounded.
  • Lose HP on rollover, slowed energy Regeneration, unable to breed
  • Not contagious
  • Cannot cure on Rollover
  • Non-lethal

Contraction

This illness can be gained upon Rollover or while working. They would be a lot more common if you live in colder biomes or during the winter, while being rare (impossible?) to get from hotter biomes like the Rainforest and Desert.

I also think an alternative to the ribbon seal encounter could be added, as it specifically mentions frostbite when you swim. Something about how the cold water seems to be taking it's toll on you - wow, you feel dizzy now!

In order for my idea to get added to the game, I think the following will be required from the devs: coding, encounter tweaks, possible minor art?

I think this sounds cool! Though I hate dealing with illnesses, this sounds awesome.

I support as well, I already have plenty of difficulty dealing with the illnesses I get now, but I still like the idea of more weather based illnesses to contrast ones we already have

It would be really nice to have an opposite to heatstroke, I always forget that frostbite can be just as nasty. Support!

Noticed a few topics being locked because of suggesting multiples so I'm airing on the side of caution and Hypothermia has now been moved to another topic!

I support! The more illness variations the merrier! Haha!

Support, but not as a lethal. Add some gross art instead. Make me fear for the wolves' poor tootsies!

Sure, sounds cool! I like cold weather themed stuff.

Not sure frostbite should be lethal though - I guess some people have died from frostbite complications, but generally it's just an extremity-affecting thing, making it lethal sounds very different from the stereotypical case of frostbite.
