Hi all! This is a very straightforward suggestion and one I was surprised to see didn't already exist. I dug around to find something similar but didn't find anything exactly the same so hopefully this hasn't already been suggested.

Idea originally by Bug (#88250) who has given me her permission to create this thread.

Currently, the Sales chat has a 10-minute cooldown, so that the chat doesn't get flooded with repeat advertisements. It keeps everything tidy which I appreciate. However, this cooldown completely nerfs the ability for players to actually discuss their trades, forcing them to move to DMs since they'll be scolded if they discuss it in Main chat. Not everyone is comfortable DMing and they should not be forced to DM with someone they don't know/aren't comfortable talking to one-on-one, just so they can get the wolf/item they want. We have many young vulnerable players (no doubt many of them underage) and their safety and privacy is extremely important, so they should have the utmost control over who they DM and why.

Since I made a post regarding this topic here, my opinion hasn't changed: I'm all for letting players discuss trades they partake in using the Chat Box as the most popular form of communication. I don't mind whether it's in the same Sales chat or a new channel is created solely for discussing trading conditions.

Agreed. There should be a place we can all talk about trades and prices and discuss specific sales

I'd love this! Some trades need a little extra conversation to hammer out the details, and discussing through PMs isn't everyone's cup of tea. The only other alternative currently is doing trades through the forums, which is plain aggravating imo lol.
