Snail Racing: the companion game to Beetle Battling

I have zero interest in beetles on Lioden but I would maybe actually try this if this was implemented this is adorable

I really like the idea of making snail food too! I don't know how I didn't think about the fact that they could eat meat, too, somehow it just slipped my mind.

Adding onto what I said about finding different snails in different biomes, it would be kind of cool to look up what kinds snails live in the Wolvden biomes to figure out what the distribution might be like! There's a lot of potential, I think, and there would probably be some overlap and some snails entirely exclusive?

Anyway, again, this is a great idea I hope the admins consider!

And if they ever need another money sink, having a cheap item for sale in Raccoon's shop that lets you paint racing stripes on them would be funny! Lol

(I say cheap because presumably the snails won't be very long-lived and I doubt people will drop notable money on painting a snail that will die soon.)

As fond as I am of beetles, they're pretty unpopular on LD. I'd want them to actually address some of the criticisms there before attempting something similar here....

This would be really cute! I think it would be nice if pups were more involved this as well? Like they could take care of the snails to learn some responsibility. But it would be optional of course and not necessary part.

Snail races sound really funny and interesting, especially if the whole thing would be an occasion for some sort of "community" daily event.

What I'm thinking of is to not have 1-on-1 races (like we have 1-on-1 battles for beetles in LD) but slightly bigger races with 5/6 snails.

Races would take place every hour or two (maybe with a pause for when rollover happens? So it's one thing less for the server to do) or just daily. Players would be able to enroll their snails in a race together with other users' snails. There could be different categories based on snail stats, or even different types of races (if devs want to go deeper with this) for different types of snails.

I don't know how detailed or immersive this can be, it all depends on devs, but I think that something on the lines of the Battle Arena in LD May event could be interesting, since it would involve more players with small competitions.

These are just my rambles and ideas... maybe other players can add a bit more (or ask for something less complicated XD)
