Wisdom & Smarts... or Proficiency? This is mainly a point of curiosity. I've done a small bit of data gathering on my own, but haven't seen this asked before and I'm curious what actually does it. What determines when you start seeing trails other than Critter? Is it the stalker's wisdom and smarts, or their stalking proficiency? How high does that stat need to be to see, for example, a Large trail in a Medium difficulty biome? Any data is appreciated. I'm curious, but also want the data to adjust my personal nuzlocke rules to be more balanced. Data I have gathered so far:Easy Biomes Saw a small trail with 97 combined Wisdom and Smarts, and 0 Proficiency. Saw a large trail with 132 combined Wisdom and Smarts, and 23 Proficiency. Medium Biomes Saw a small trail with 114 combined Wisdom and Smarts, and 6 Proficiency. Difficult Biomes Have NOT yet seen even a small trail with 132 combined Wisdom and Smarts, and 22 Proficiency. Challenging Biomes [Untested, no data] |

A new player, for example, can get a hunting party full of NBWs to eventually find and successfully hunt large trails by building their proficiency, but higher stats = more success in harder biomes and finding large trails sooner. A hunting party can still be successful if they have high proficiency but low stats, but they will not be successful if they have high stats but low proficiency/synergy, if that makes sense! Good luck with gathering data! |

I hadn't seen anything in my forum searches about it, but I completely forgot they had a discord. |
