As
of now, the chatbox is really hard to navigate. Pings are nice, cause
they highlight the message directed at you, but other than that people
are indistinguishable without squinting at their nicknames. Well, unless
they have some bright emotes in their nickname. |

I think this is an interesting idea, I do think having some way to easily distinguish people would be nice, especially if you're do sales posts and want to quickly figure out how long ago you posted. |

Just popping in to let you know that on mobile, this thread title (and your username too, actually) is... just a series of boxes, and unreadable. Might want to stick with a normal font so people like me can see the suggestion title to give their thoughts on! :)Β |

ο»ΏOh no, that's a shame! I checked it on my Android phone as well as on an Apple device and it worked just fine, what a shame it doesn't work properly :'( |

Sorry to be the one to let you know! It does look quite distinctive and eye catching with just a bunch of X'd out boxes but is hard to read on my android phone (I use the native android browser app, not chrome, maybe that's why?) But yeah figured I'd just let you know!! But also I agree with your suggestion :)Β Something that may or *may not* work to fix the (chat) problem - I have Synesthesia which in easy to understand terms means I see every number and letter each in it's own individual color. I don't have problem navigating the chatbox because I look at the color of people's number tags and can tell (roughly) who's who based on that. Like "oh, Hydde is green blue brown blue" sort of thing. Maybe an easy fix would be to color code the user's numbers in the chat, even so everyone can at a glance see who's speaking!Β |

I think allowing users to pick a username color and/or a chat avatar that is one of the already existing chat emotes would work quite well. That way, users with the same username are less likely to appear identical in chat (other than IDs ofc,) but also chat wouldn't be a wild rainbow due to people being able to pick background and text colors and stuff. |
