item to assure pup survival

No support ;u; Having an item to ensure pup survival makes sitters fairly redundant. And if you don't have a pupsitter you can... Buy a trained one. I'm looking at multiple 100% proficiency sitters up for 2 GC or less on the trading post, as we speak. |

No support. An item for this purpose would completely negate the job of a pupsitter and the function of a survival percentage on pups. |

Support. Since I just lost a traded pup, who's health & safety wasn't high enough from former owner I'm assuming, I'd appreciate an item to ensure survival and one to revive a dead pup. |

I know I've already commented on this but I had a pup who was 100% fed and played with, and had been protected since he was born, and he died on rollover. I don't know what his survival was anymore but it should've been high enough to keep him safe. And I'm not too torn up about it, because he was going to get chased anyway, but that's now two pups I've had die in I think two consecutive rollovers who were both protected and should've survived. I had three pups who weren't protected and should've died instead, but no, it was the protected and well cared for pup. EDIT Looking at his littermates, they all had over 60% survival chance so :/ |

@The rest of the thread No support. The pupsitter already does this job - or it should unless there's a bug or something going on. Just buy a wolf and make them 100% the pup. I've been here since day 1 and never seen a 100% protected pup die. Maybe you don't have enough slots for another wolf, but at the worst, you can always remove a hunter or a scout for the night since roles are completely switchable. At the best, you can hire a cheap (5-20 sc) temporary NBW to watch them. Adding an item just seems like a waste of money? I feel bad for the people that would use them not understanding that their pup would be fine without it. Almost like fear mongering. I'm not sure how the site would be able to enforce that the item isn't needed and it's optional, but still justify such a cost. Cuz I imagine they'd only do it as a GC item. |

I wouldnt mind supporting this, logically there isnt any gameplay reason such a thing shouldnt exist, the people making the argument about how it negates pupsitters forget that the elk bundle exists and yet we arent complaining about how the elk bundle negates hunters But i do think it is kind of a stupid item, a newbie trap like the elk bundle which u can buy but its so overpriced that the only ones that would buy it are new and confused players that didnt know they could just buy it for way cheaper on the trade center the people who would require such an item are folk that lack territory and would rather spend 3~gc(assume elk bundle price) on protecting one pup instead of buy 1 territory slot (the lowest you would get for 3 gc is currently about 990sc on the trade market so theres no planet where someone in this group couldnt afford) and befriend an nbw TLDR: Stupid item? yes. Shouldnt be added because it doesnt match up with the game? no |

it would encourage folks who want this to either spend their sc on the games sc sink or buy gc to convert to sc to buy such an item, both scenarios adding to the overal health of the games economy for the folk that say this negates the use of pupsitters even more, once again i would like to direct your attention to the food and toy bundles you can buy from the raccoon and neither of these cause scouts or hunters to become useless as for folks saying that it makes daily rollover less effective at killing puppies, i say yea true but think about it this way, its exchanging 1 puppies life in exchange for 500sc. both the bear and the market dont give u even a tenth of that for a pup, that pup is likely never to enter the game market cus their owner geniunely likes it a lot(also sunk cost fallacy but shhhhhh) |
