Rotting food doesnt count as food?

Im not sure if this is supposed to be this way, all of my food thats due to rot tomorrow is not counting as food in my feed all play all. When I try to feed all my wolves, its saying I have no available food items. I want to make sure this isn't intentional before reporting it as a bug.

It may be intentional, since rotting food can make your wolves sick. But someone else may know I'm wrong.

It's not worth feeding them rotting food if you have a big pack. I ended up going through too many medicines because I was trying to get rid of my rotting food, and that was on a daily basis... I learned my lesson

Absolutely intentional - I'm the beta tester that asked for that change after using FAPA and half my pack ended up sick (in the beta)!
