She crept forward, ears pricked for any noises, just inside of the shadows. She was tired, hungry, and still in pain, but she kept moving. They didn't have a choice. "Are you okay?" she called back to Oliver, wanting to check in on him since he'd been quiet for a while now.

I'm sure people will be spread out searching for us right now, even in the less populated parts of town so it's a risk to go anywhere" She ran a hand through her hair, "we need to leave soon". She gazed up into the sky. It was clear, somewhat sunny, not good weather to be walking around in, especially not for a long time. Maybe if they followed to woods to the outskirts of town they'd find a way to get out. "Can you drive?" she asked Oliver.

Margo didn't drive, she didn't have a car. But...if they could find one- maybe in a parking lot? She was confident she could break in and they could take it. She knew it wasn't exactly legal, but it was all the only plan she had right now.

Posted 2024-09-16 10:53:54 #1274911 he nodded and followed after her as they walked Oliver stiffened as he heard a soft rustle in the bushes he crept forward and borrowed his eyes to try and make out what it was,in a blink of a eye a small gardener snake slithered out of the bush and hissed loudly oliver yelped and rushes forward to catch up with margo in a panic he looked back

Posted 2024-09-18 05:21:48 #1277045 Margo saw Oliver slow down from the corner of her eye. She continued walking, but slowed her pace to make it easier for him to catch up. Her ears picked up a quiet hiss and then a yelp and she snickered to herself as she heard Oliver's footsteps catch up to her. She was paranoid of every little movement in the corner of her eye, ready to jump into action of they were found. She wasn't much of a fighter, but she was sure she could take down a few of the men before they caught her if she really wanted to. She tried not to think about how her injuries hindered her, she just needed to rest for a day or so and then she'd be better. This town was familiar, she knew it like the back of her hand after living in the woods surrounding it for so long. Eventually, her feet hit the gravel of a parking lot for an old rundown mall. She stopped walking and stared out into the lot, trying to figure out the best course of action.
