"If we leave now we can probably find somewhere decent to sleep by the time it gets dark". Not that she wanted to sleep. She was hungry, she could feel it in the back of her throat. It had been a while since she'd had fresh kill, she'd need to go hunting again once they were somewhere safe. She looked behind her incase anyone had caught up to them, and then stepped into the lot, striding to the closest car as the sun beat down on her. She grit her teeth through the burning sensation lighting up her skin, testing the car door and finding it, of course, locked. She'd have to work her magic a bit.

Posted 2024-09-19 09:27:53 #1278293 his tail wagged slightly as he heard the satisfying click of the car door unlocking he rolled his eyes as he noticed his tail wagged and placed his hand/paw on top of his tail to keep it from wagging "I did i-" he froze as he saw a couple of young kids spying on him from the bushes on of them held up his phone which was recording "the big dog spotted us!" one of them shrieked and the other hushed them not knowing that he did see them oliver panicked and froze this is bad...its a small town news like this spreads like wild-fire

Posted 2024-09-19 17:51:30 #1278625 Margo huffed as she was prompted back into the shade but didn't argue. She leaned against a tree and watched Oliver work, impressed with his lock picking skills. Her sensitive ears picked up on the soft click, indicating that the car was unlocked and she pushed herself off the tree and back into the lot to climb in. When she realised they were being watched, she froze, her limbs growing cold with fear. She relaxed slightly when she realised it wasn't the people looking for them from before, just some dumb kids, but was still a little shaken at Oliver's reaction. She put a hand on his shoulder, prompting him to look away. "C'mon let's go" she said softly, trying to work past her own paranoia, "we'll be long gone before word spreads, okay?"

She checked the glove box and growled when it was empty. "Fuck" she hissed, annoyed and on edge. "Yeah, we might have to hotwire it". She tapped her foot anxiously and looked out the window. The kids were still there, in the distance. It looked like they were talking to someone. They needed to leave. And fast.

Posted 2024-09-20 06:10:43 #1279045 Oliver jumped into the driver's seat and wiggled onto the floor to see the compartment he tried to open it but it would not budge he banged on it then the small compartment swung open "ok...." he muttered to himself in concentration and he matched the wires together the car slightly rumbled and coughed then started up "ah ha!" oliver got up of the floor of the cab and dusted himself off

"You ready to go?" she asked, unsure of where they would end up, and sad to see this town go, but also excited for what was to come. Maybe this was the change she needed. Maybe she could finally be safe if she was far, far away from this town.
