"I'll be fine" she grit her teeth. She could deal with everything else later, they needed to get to safety first.

There was a yell behind them, a confirmation that someone had seen them and reinforcements were coming. Margo stood up on shaky legs. "Come on!" she started running again, unsteady towards the fence.

oliver started to rush towards the fence and Shaklaiy climbed it once almost to the top he felt a hand grab his ankle and tried pulling him down without thinking Oliver shifted and lunged towards the mans arm and clamped down on it the man wailed and a soft crunch sounded from his arm and he fell onto the ground "THAT THING FUCKING BIT ME" he wailed and others gathered around him in a panic oliver stared down at the man in horror did I really do that?! he shook his head and stumbled onto the ground on the other side of the fence 		Raven-skys🌈 🏳️‍🌈

Adam stormed into the st cyr house and slammed the door behind him "hey kid" a grown man said without turning to look at adam "matt" Adam said slowly and went to sit next to the man 'where your daughter?' adam looked around while matt looked shocked as if he forgot he had a daughter at all "shes in her room" he grumbled 		Raven-skys🌈 🏳️‍🌈

Margo was a few paces behind Oliver, she opened her mouth to call out to him that someone was trying to grab him, and watched, speechless, as he bit the man trying to drag him back down. It had given them those few precious seconds to jump over the fence to freedom. She fell onto the other side onto the grass and tried to catch her breath.

"Good job," she said, finally standing up to disappear into the surrounding woods, looking back to see if Oliver was following her. "We can go back to the shack, though. They probably have people there already....we need to find somewhere else to go".

As much as it broke her heart, she knew she could never go back to the place she'd called home for many years.

he pinned back his ears and frowned Where cloud they go? he paused and looked around him then started to follow margo "Where could we go?" he spoke slowly and thoughtfully as he caught up with margo

adams pocket vibrated and matt lifted his head in intrust "one minute' adam mumbled and went into the other room to answer the call 		Raven-skys🌈 🏳️‍🌈

As Adam answered a soft rummaging sound came from the other side of the line "Well?" Adam barked after a few moments of
more silence a voice spoke up "W-we lost them…..someone is badly injured a-' Adam cut the other person on the line of before they could finish "THEY WHAT?!" Adam lowered his voice as matt looked over to the room adam was in "everything okay in there?" a raspy voice called out to him "yes fine…" Adam returned his attention to his phone call "send everyone out and search everywhere" adam ordered "soun-" he hung up before the other man on the line could finish 		Raven-skys🌈 🏳️‍🌈

"I-it's too dangerous to go back for any supplies" Margo said, feeling her heart sink. "I think we're gonna have to leave town. They've probably started a town-wide search for us, it'd be safer to...move on, I guess" she shrugged, unsure if she was truly ready to leave.

These woods were her home, but they would be the death of her and Oliver if they stayed, and she didn't want to put her new friend in any more danger. Everything she'd learnt about living by herself in the woods would be put the test in this moment- she knew enough to make sure they were at least somewhat safe and fed wherever they ended up.

She turned to look Oliver in the eye. "Do you trust me?" she asked, voice serious.

Oliver thought about this momentarily then nodded with a soft smile  "so where do we start"?" he asked with a soft chuckle trying to lighten the mood 		Raven-skys🌈 🏳️‍🌈

Margo was glad she wasn't doing this alone. At least she had someone and he had her. If they worked together, maybe this could all work out. She shot him a small, wavering smile.

"We need to get out of here. We need to leave town, somewhere far so they won't follow us" she said, and continued to walk, anxious that they were being followed. "Maybe we should hide somewhere and wait til night, that way we can use the darkness to our advantage".

It wasn't just that, though. Margo was sure any more extended time in the sunlight was going to kill her, her skin already felt like it was blistering.
