Ill try to keep everything spoiler free.

Okay so basically, a girl named edith is the last person alive in the family. Every person has died in a different and weird way. You play as past edith through a journal reading. As you read different journals, comic books, and documents(in one case a flipbook) you uncover how each family member died or disappears. Most of the stories are more fantasy(i can think of at least 3 off the top on my head, way more tho), but you can infer what really happened with all of them.

A shorter explanation:

A tragedy game where you play as past Edith Finch trying to uncover how all your family members died through journals, documents, and comicbooks.

Honesty? 10/10 game, i would recommend playing it. If you dont want to though, there are some cool playthroughs on youtube.
