Suggestion: Herbalist Can Search for Specific Herbs

I don't mind it being balanced. And I really don't think it'll ruin the herb economy. Your herbalist would still only be able to find a herb in the biome your pack is in. And it would also take literally 5x the energy and almost twice the time. I basically figured it would more be a nice feature for folks that can't be super active so they could have an option to go finding a specific herb they might need while they're not online. The more rare/valuable herbs still would require them to even Scout and move to those biomes. And even if they used every single bit of energy for specific herbs, most people wouldn't be able to do it more than a few times a day I imagine. There are hardcore players who could do more, but honestly, they're already the ones with tons of herbs to exchange for the rare herbs anyway. This might actually balance it a bit so the rare herbs are still valuable, but not incredibly expensive. I think it would be a nice shift to keep herbs profitable, but still accessible to the community. Also, I don't honestly think "RNG" is a good reason to not have a feature that will improve gameplay and enjoyment for others. There is still plenty of RNG and I don't think the ability to use more resources to get an assured outcome is that unreasonable. Almost every game has similar features. This includes games that aren't even online. If you're willing to put in the time, effort, AND the cost (Energy in this case), having an assured outcome is a reasonable reward. Obviously, it shouldn't give an unfair advantage, but neither should it be inaccessible to those that don't have the time to be on the game as much as some. Please note, this is not a knock at active players, I'm very active because I can have it on my phone and check every few hours. However, I know not a lot of people have that option. So I think features that improve quality of life even in a small way should be something any player has access to. |

I support! This can be useful and makes looking for certain things less annoying when you really need! |

I support. I get Wolvden is all about the RNG but here's the thing - I'm sick of the RNG. There is too much RNG and it doesn't make for an engaging game. That said, I don't oppose some RNG and would be okay with a percentage chance for them to fail and bring back something else but at 100% proficiency it should be very low. (Perhaps even a 1% chance of finding the correct herb per proficiency point, capping at 90-95% |

This is a great idea! A search feature would be incredibly useful - I'm barely 2 weeks into playing and I'm already frustrated by my herbalist repeatedly finding the same herbs over and over while I have sick wolves requiring medicines I can't research/don't have the ingredients to make. At least improve the chances of finding what you need with a search feature. |

I support. The balance of 50%+ proficiency and taking 100% energy and 100 minutes is fairly good. I think the only thing I might add is a slightly more random number of herbs, like the default 1-(2/3) per search (and only 1 in winter, to be consistent). I also am not against the chance to fail that others have mentioned, but think that could be frustrating because it does take up the energy for 5 forages. I think Xena's adjustments are pretty good, too. Edit: |

I support this because it is frustrating when you are searching for a specific herb for a particular cure and your herbalist keeps returning with herbs you do not need. |
