The medium archway. The puffins caw and squawk as you pass through the arch. They divebomb you, wings, beaks, talons battering every inch of your body. Ow! Why were they attacking you?! You can't see any nests nearby, so you don't know why these birds are suddenly so aggressive. But at last, they leave you alone and at least you're not leaving empty pawed. mALEc had gotten 6 feathers! The small archway. The lemmings continue to watch you as you struggle to squeeze through the gap. As you move, you try not to step on the tiny critters, even though they seem to be everywhere. You'd never seen such a large colony of lemmings and you ask one why there's so many. Turns out, there's an herb stash nearby! You ask politely for some, and the lemmings agree. You take a mouthful of herbs, knowing very well your herbalist will greatly appreciate it. KasperKat had gotten 10 herbs! The next narrator is KasperKat! (apologies as I don't have enough stuff to give gifts) |

As you travel onwards, you cross a huge plain. Located at the center of the plain is a big encampment of wolves. It seems to be some kind of training program for hopeful scouts, hunters, and herbalists. As you approach the group, you can see that they've divided themselves into a lot of different groups, each with a fun nature name. You can see from here the Ferns and the Geckos. Looking at the big group, you see friendly faces, and you realize how weary you are. It might be nice to stop and rest for a minute! The Ferns - Looking over, you can see some younger pups racing around each other, with two fond pupsitters looking on, occasionally reminding the pups to stay on task as they practice herding other puppies dressed up as elk through the tall grass. These seem like the younger puppies, which might be a little stressful to approach, but at the same time the pupsitters look friendly and open to conversation. The Geckos - The Geckos seem to be mainly composed of adolescents, some just begin to grow into their lanky wolf legs, others already nearly indistinguishable from a fully grown wolf. However, the vibe is significantly a little more closed coming from this group, as if they don't want an outsider prying in. Still, a place to rest is a place to rest, and the adult wolves with them don't look as forbidding as their charges. Keep on going - Whatever. You can keep going. Who would want to mess around with a bunch of puppies anyway? Thank you guys so much for waiting!!! |

The Ferns - As you approach the small pups, they race towards you, abandoning the elk-costumed puppies. The pupsitters leap from their laying position to stand on their paws, bristling and growling at you, telling the pups to stay away from you. However, you keep your ears neutral and wag your tail a bit, letting your tongue roll in a lazy manner, after a minute the adults are persuaded you don't mean any harm. They inquire as to your travels, a bit hesitantly, and you explain where you've been and how you plan to return home soon as you allow the pups to clamber all over you. The two pupsitters share a look that confuses you, but hours pass by with much discussion before they reveal the reason to you. A puppy had recently wandered into their camp, alone, confused, and exhausted. They'd tried to take care of him and find his pack, but his pack was missing and he needed more care than they could give him. After assessing your character, they ask if you'd be willing to take him back to your pack and help raise him. Torn by the story of the little pup's plight, you agree, and meet the charming little guy, who seems to have a rather abnormal pelt devoid of any color except black. 🏳️🌈Unidentified🏳️⚧️ receives: 1x Darkpup The Geckos - Approaching the group, you're met by bristling spines, raised tails, and sideways glares from the middle-aged pups before you. The two pupsitters sigh and roll their eyes, trotting forward to meet you. Though they seem a bit exhausted of their charges, they're friendly enough, and you fall to talking, ignoring the adolescents gossiping around you. Eventually, one of the wolves asks you to cover for him while he goes to get a carcass, and while he's gone, his working partner informs you of a mysterious crystal that she found while in the woods the other day. The adolescents are drawn by the story and slowly drawn out of their shells as well as you regale them with stories of your own, recounting battles, loves, and tales to rival anything they could dream of. They almost come to idolize you in the short time you stay with them, and you suspect they'll be discussing you for a while after you leave. However, you're still interested in the "strange crystal" and ask the pup sitter for more information. She provides you with the exact location, and after parting ways, you find the place she mentioned. Sure enough, a strange, white, glowing crystal lays there, and you break off a piece, sure that you can find a use for this! In addition, you gather a few herbs to take with you to your herbalist as a peace offering for being absent for so long. mALEc 🌸🐰 🌸 receives: 1x Aging Crystal, 1x Bearberry, 3x Feverfew Keep Going - You decide it's not worth your time to try to find a place to rest there, and end up continuing through the plains, ignoring the curious glances of the wolves. It's none of their business where a grown wolf goes on their free time. Just to prove them that you're your own wolf, you grab a nearby lone piece of prey, assuming it was discarded. Upon hearing a startled, accusatory bark, you realize that you may have just stolen someone's lunch. Time to hightail it out of there!
