No.

Maybe your biome affects the speed at which your quality goes up for native plants? I haven't paid much attention to that yet tbh to see which ones are going up higher.

No, it just has a random chance of increasing in quality every gen.

Does anyone have any idea how the mutations work? How does one get mutated plants? Or is it just random and you cant help it anyway?

Its a random chance, it says so in the buffs part of the page i believe.

Dont think that has any affect, it would be a bit weird if that was the case, but who knows

I believe the star value/quality is a random point chance. Ie. Every generation has a random chance to add 1 to 5 points and at 5 points it fills 1 star.
I'm getting wildly inconsistent quality versus generation values so that's the only thing I can think of that might be happening.
Like, oops my gen 10 strawberry rolled all nat 1s and so it's only 1 star, but my gen 10 rose got 5s every time so it's full five star!
(Number values for example I don't know the actual quality rate increase per growth)
I need more days to calculate the quality rate but it mostly looks like it's down to random chance

Does anyone have the 5 stars quality plant? I'm growing gen 50 Jade Vine at this moment, and for the last ~10 gen quality stuck at 4 stars

Also Jade Vine has red and purple mutations

Pithaya has a Spotted mutation
