Community Update #146

The event's pretty good! I wouldn't say I like it more than Cataclysms with its dark aesthetic and battle-heavy encounters, but it's certainly a nice change of pace. Definitely has a lot going for it. :)

Yeah news!

I love the new stud! Very pretty 😍

I LOVE the event! I'm having so much fun and feels like it's own little browser gardening game and like a real lived in town (like an added DLC town you can travel to). I also wish it was kept year round because of how much fun it is 😁 Thank you to everyone's hard work in getting it running (despite the delay) and fixing everything as problems arise with the event!

I absolutely love the new event! It's not resource-heavy like Cataclysms (super hard on my salves/lucky feet stockpile because of battling and quests) which is fantastic. I think the contests are so fun but would love to see a contest results section on the Event page rather than being spammed with 12 notifications per hour. I think the markings are fun too because they're quite unique compared to existing marking applicators (Freckles is unlike anything else we have currently). It definitely needs tweaks, improvements and additions but overall I've had a lot of fun with it compared to other month long events!

(I agree with mercurie about the contest notifications!)

I wanted to add that I'm actually not a big fan of the decor for this event. I think the berry wraps in particular are just too dark and heavy for a light spring theme. I also dislike the coloring for many of the flowers. Some of the shades seem so bright on my monitor that they remind me more of the Lunar event's high-contrast intensity. The backgrounds, while nice, I think have a little too much dirt and not enough produce featured in detail. That's just my two cents, though. Buy it for a dollar? The applicators I think are just flawless. My favorite markings in the game!

When I was a kid, I loved the Harvest Moon series. I also love Abilene! Working with or against her reminds me of the old charm and romance of that RPG. Many of its stories had neighborly and not-so-neighborly branches, but both forks had something tasty on the end of them, you know? So thank you for the work put into her. I like that she's a little snarky, too. IT'S FUN TO BE A LIL' SPICY
