"We are here, where I found them last. It would be best for you to rest while I find their scents." As she said this, the retriever nodded towards a nearby tree. Turning away she started to sniff the ground. It didn't take long for her to sort the scent lines. "The bulk of them went that way." The black she-dog pointed towards an abandoned warehouse. "While one of them went into the abandoned mines." That was all Halo could give. Inside, the black retriever was panicking because she would cause multiple lost lives, yet, on the outside, her emotionless self hadn't changed. It was all the other dogs saw from her. An unfaltering lack of emotion, as if she could not feel any. |

"There are four others, besides us. Two of them are pups." She answered. She knew it wasn't much, but they only started the pack today. Hopefully they would grow stronger before Diablo notices that there is another pack in this city. It wasn't likely that they stood a chance against Diablo's Pack right now, but if they were careful they could evade his notice for now. Pandora | Diablo's Pack | Hunter | Female "Morning Callie." She greeted her fellow hunter. "I could help you." She offered. Actually she wanted to go hunting by herself and spend some more time in the park, but she still felt a bit uneasy about encountering a stray and would feel better if she weren't alone. Even if she didn't know Callie and Clover very well. Then again she didn't know any dog of her pack well. She hasn't been part of the pack for a very long time and has mostly kept to herself. |

Aria was slightly surprised that Diablo had let the hunter take the lead again, but she didn't linger on it. They had bigger things to worry about. When they reached the place where Halo had seen the strays, she started sniffing around at the different scents. There were more than she had thought. And the scents of the different dog breeds had her flattening her ears as she looked towards the abandoned warehouse Halo just mentioned. These strays could become a threat if they formed a pack. Her stub of a tail twitched at the thought. |

Fawn wandered through the streets, following a group of scents that seemed to of been there recently passed the couple of days. She takes a break from tracking when she sees a puddle by the sidewalk, lowering her head to the puddle. The puddle seemed recently made, she takes a sniff before starting to lick up dirtied water from the puddle. Once her thirst was satiated, she goes back to tracking. She lifts her head when she notices a female black retriever and Doberman nearby what seemed to be a abandoned warehouse. |

Diablo's lip curled at the mingling scents of at least four different dogs. His imposing stature barely contained his rage. He wanted to tear this city apart until the Strays were found - they would regret ever daring to form any type of alliance. Their boldness clearly revealed a flaw in his system: he's gone too soft. Diablo maintained his composure despite the storm building within him. "We'll follow the trail," Diablo commanded. "I want to see where they've holed up." Callie | Diablo's Pack | Hunter | Female Callie turned, motioning for Pandora to follow her. She led the Spaniel to where she and Clover had stored their four rabbits. Callie subdued the flame of pride swelling in her chest. Four rabbits was so much yet so little. How many dogs would it feed? Maybe only Diablo and the fighters - they always ate first. Echo | Strays | Warrior | Female Her eyes darted between the two dogs standing before her and Chico. They seemed sincere enough... What if they turned on them? Echo hadn't been a street dog for long, but she wasn't so naïve to believe they were all as friendly as Chico. She looked to Chico for guidance. Apollo | Strays | Warrior | Male Apollo noted the Vizsla's hesitation; he didn't blame her. If he'd been chased and cornered by two dogs, he probably wouldn't trust them either. The Shepherd took a careful step towards them. "We need as many dogs as we can to form a strong pack. I'm sure you've heard of Diablo?" |

The tremble had soothed only barely in the chihuahua's hind legs as the tension within the room dispersed slowly. As the brightly colored Aussie spoke, Chico found his eyes drifting up to Echo's, a twinge of desperation shining through. "Yeah, we've heard." The sarcastic tone couldn't be helped, it wasn't directed at Apollo, but more so at the rest of the world and the situation that they were in. It was a cruel joke at times, how mercilessly the streets and those on them had treated one another. After a moment, Chico spoke. "We need some time to think." His head nodded quickly, as if he was convincing himself to eve ntake the time he'd requested. |

Diablo followed the scent of the dogs through the city. He kept a steady pace with rage fueling his fire. They hardly made it two blocks before Diablo heard a truck moving slowly in the street next to the alley. He raised his head to see that it was the dogcatchers. "Run! Everyone back to the house!" Diablo snarled. Echo | Strays | Warrior | Female Anxiety tightened in Echo's chest. Where would they go? If they didn't join their pack, they'd get kicked out of the warehouse for sure. They were horribly outnumbered. Echo padded after Chico to a corner to discuss it. "They'll make us leave," Echo mumbled just loud enough for Chico to hear. |

Fawn hears the panic of some dogs nearby and checks to see what was happening. She sees a large male cane corso, not knowing it was Diablo, the leader of the pack she was searching for. Fawn snarled as she kept her distance as she watched the dog catchers before disappearing into the shadows of the alleyway. |

The idea that four strays might had formed an alliance was troubling indeed. However, Aragon's dark thoughts were interrupted by the sound of a truck. At Diablo's order to run, he saw that the pair of dog catchers were already getting out of the vehicle, eyeing the four dogs. "We need to split up, they'll come after us!" Aragon snarled, backing up a few steps. His eyes cut to Halo who still wasn't moving. "Let's go!" |

"And what's forcing me to?" Halo had already been fed up with how she had chosen to live. A pack would have been great... If it hadn't been lead by Diablo... The alfa was ruthless and bloodthirsty, yet the fear in Aragon's voice told her that the Doberman had never dealt with dog catchers before, and his certainty in Diablo to save them. Halo had once, and was in no rush to do it again, yet curiosity pricked at her paws. The retriever's father was taken by them, would she be able to see him again? Had he escaped? Once more, the black she-dog showed none of these emotions. |
