Ears perking at the cod that sat in front of Storm, she got up and padded over to the mouse she caught. Walking towards storm she set it next to the cod panting happily that she was able to contribute. Walking back to her space she sat down thumping her tail on the ground. Now they just had to wait to see who the new alpha would be. |

Tempests heart melted as she listened to Alfie spit things out faster than a flying bullet. He was so worked up it broke her heart. Rising to her paws she took a few steps closer before lying down and wrapping her latver frame around the smaller male for comfort as she addressed all of his worries and concerns. "You mustn't fret over things such as what ifs dear little Alfie. You have more skills in your right paw than most of those brawn headed males out there have in their entire being. I would never allow you to go woth anyone who would neglect you as such, it's awful enough seeing them mistreat their own poor dogs as it is. You're wonderful in the show ring though Alfie, one of the best I've ever seen and I'm so proud to be able to stand in a female division that's on par with your own." Rooster | Strays | Warrior | Male Wow, the male they jhad jut met known as Ruger was just offered the position of Alpha. Rooster was a little baffled by Apollo's words. He wasn't sure who the Alpha was, but it looked like there was about tk be a new sense of order within the Strays pack should Ruger accept his decision. As Ana's gaze met Roosters, his little nub of a tail wagged vigorously before he nipped her shoulders playfully. Am urge he often got when overly excited as such!! As soon as he nipped her shoulder his hind legs sprung!! Bouncing him up and over Ana and on to her other side. He whipped around, bowing playfully before nipping at her again. His behavior much like a puppy... a very large one. As ruger said to take some time and rest, to go and familiarize themselves woth the others Rooster didn't hesitate. He was a social butterfly and he was gonna spread those wings and flutter. Turning his crown, with his mouth open and tongue lulling out of the left side of his mouth he went to trot off to find others. That was, until... THEIR FIRST PACK MEETING!! Rooster became excitable all over again, bouncing eith each step he took. |

A slight smile tugged at his lips as Echo bumped him. "It counts for something." He insured, before turning his attention back to the fields in front of them. The small chihuahua took off ahead of his friend, ducking down into the tall grasses in search of something worth bringing back, or something worth eating himself before going back. Either way, his nose was to the ground, his body completely hidden beneath the brush, the leaves above him rustling as the only sign that he was even there at all. Ruger | Strays | Alpha | Make A soft chuckle passed through the older dog's muzzle at the joy in which the young Doberman found in life. To have such an outlook on life, even in these ever-trying times on the streets, well, it must make the days go by a little quicker, and the meals taste a little better. Hopefully, a mentality like Rooster's would spread through all these fine packmates that gathered around him. The pride seemed to beam from Ruger, an overwhelming paternal instinct to look at the next generation with tender adoration and eager anticipation for what they might do next. Truly, this was a fine group of dogs. All with their own strengths, and their own weaknesses. The ability to admit those flaws and come together as a team and family, that would be what separated them from Diablo, and that's what would bring freedom to the strays. Behind him, his own stub wagged with excitement. Oh what the future might hold... |

She watched as one of the new dobermans romped around what looked to be his sister. Although they were both at least a yr old she took his playfulness in good stride. Panting happily she watched everything as it went on. Ruger seemed to be observed the pack as well, and Apollo seemed to be waiting. |

Alfie's small white cloud-like frame began to shake with fear, although he was confident on the show floor when it came to the possibility of being sold off it terrified him the mere thought of it, as his tiny frame continued to tremor. He then suddenly felt the warm and comforting embrace of his best friend wrapping around him, he couldn't help but admit it felt right and he wanted more than anything to wish he could return such warmth but right now his mind was all over the place, he just wanted to get this show over with so that he could have his free time. listening to the words of his best friend he couldn't help but smile, that was tempest something she was so great at, she always had a way of making you smile whether you wanted to or not she was there to make it appear, allowing a soft sigh to escape him Alfie finally opened his maw as he spoke "Thank you Tempy, you know you always know the right thing to say and you are so kind and so sweet, you make me wish I wasn't gay sometimes so I could give you the love you truly deserve in return" he said with a soft and delicate yet sincere tone, if it wasn't for him being gay he truly could see himself spending his life trying to make Tempest happy. "I know your right, I know I can do this.. But... I do have one request, will you come with me, I know if I can see your face it will help me get through today, I know you have just finished your show in your division and now have your free time and I don't want to take up that free time but I really could do with seeing your face in there and knowing that I have someone who truly believes in me in there with me" he requested with a somewhat guilt-ridden face but a sincere tone. Ana | Female | strays | Beta Ana gave a slight frown as Ruger called her miss, not one of true anger but more of a friendly kind of warning, she then listened to his words as he spoke of how they had done enough to help the pack for now, it was then she heard him ask about her introducing herself around to the others, she was unsure about this, the first female she had run into didn't go very well and she wasn't used to the socializing aspect of being in a pack, especially if she had to keep her true opinion inside she wasn't one to do such things, but before she had a chance to answer he once again spoke this time offering to introduce her to a few of the others, this suggestion was much more to Ana's liking as she respected him and felt he had a good head on his shoulders and was well-mannered, but before she had a chance to answer him it appeared Apollo had commented about making him the alpha, she remained silent yet nodded towards Apollo in agreement as from what she had seen this male could bring order that was well needed within the pack, it was then when he spoke of the position he was offered not only did he admit it was a big decision but he also took in the consideration of others and what they thought, she couldn't help but admire that. Ana was then just about to speak in return when she felt Rooster playfully nip her that was before he bound over her, Ana's eyes followed his every movement, they were still new here and she knew her brother could be a lot to handle at times due to his pup-like habits and although she adored him just the way he was she knew others may not take so kindly to his excitable nature, it was then when he heard about a pack meeting being called that he started to jump happily, Ana shook her head slightly her brother was a pawful indeed but a pawful she wouldn't change for anything. She watched him as he wandered off to where the others had gathered themselves for what they called a pack meeting, Ana wasn't sure how she felt about this but as with everything in her life she took it in stride not for herself but for her brother, he seemed excited to be here, more excited than she, but this was because she held her emotions in and didn't often express them, especially in public some would say she was nothing if not a lady in the streets, that was until you got on the wrong side of her and her inner beast came to light. She then shot her brother a look that only he would understand as she gently nipped his backside before he walked out of range from her as if to say 'calm yourself brother and be on your best behaviour we are still strangers here after all' It was then Ana turned to Ruger as she spoke in a respectful and polite tone, "Well Ruger Sir, I would be honored if you would be so kind as to introduce me to the others, although I believe that may have to wait as there is a meeting being called and it would appear you are the guest of honor, so we shouldn't keep the others waiting, although I would gladly take you up on that offer if it still stands after this meeting is through, thank you." She paused for a moment before adding "Also again, please call me Ana, there is no need for such formalities with me, I am of no high standing here, simply a stranger amongst you all, plus you have impressed me with your manners and the good head you hold on your shoulders, therefore have gained my respect, so I would like to insist you call me Ana" her words sincere, respectful yet held a certain polite and friendly nature to them. It was then Ana stood upon her paws as she slowly began to make her way forward before turning to Ruger as she spoke "Would you care to walk there together" she offered politely and delicately. Ana couldn't help but wonder what this first pack meeting would entail, but she couldn't help but admit she was intrigued to find out. |

Diablo, although focused on the task ahead, kept note of Xena's position. A clever she-dog indeed...giving him deference while also keeping up. Some dogs needed to be taught basic etiquette when it came to patrols with their alpha, but not Xena. He slowed to a trot as the construction site came into view. His nose picked up the scent of Shadow and Illud - they had definitely been here. Where where they? "They're not far," Diablo grumbled as he searched for a way in. Apollo | Strays | Warrior | Male Apollo sat taller with so many eyes on him. He decided to start the meeting since he was the one who called it in the first place. Nerves crackled through his body but he ignored them. The white German Shepherd stood to address the gathered pack...the pack that had only been a fever dream yesterday. He cleared his throat before saying: "While we are nothing like Diablo's pack, I think it's still a good idea to have some order - much like how a young pup needs routine for healthy growth." His amber eyes flitted to the towering Rottweiler next to him. "I'm officially nominated Ruger as our alpha. He's smart and strong, but most importantly: he's caring. I believe that he'll put the pack first." Echo | Strays | Warrior | Female Echo chased after Chico into the field. While he dived to search under a bush for prey, Echo kept to the open air. She trotted with her nose in the air, her elegant frame moving gracefully through the long grass. The Vizsla caught wind of a pheasant...her favorite prey. She immediately went still, stalking forward with precise, fluid movements. It was rustling in the grass nearby. Within a few heartbeats, Echo charged and snapped its neck in her jaws. Bear | Strays | Scout | Male Just as Bear was about to walk out into the long grass of the field, movement out of the corner of his eye alerted him to company. He ducked down in the grass with his tall ears pricked in their direction. It was a pair of dogs, a rather odd pair at that, and they seemed to be hunting. Bear observed them for a moment, wondering if he should introduce himself. It's been a while since he's spoken to another dog. The Chihuahua was more his size, so perhaps the Vizsla was friendly towards small dogs. Taking a deep breath, Bear decided to take the risk. He emerged from his hiding place to scamper over to where the Chihuahua had dived underneath a bush. "Any luck?" Bear asked with a note of amusement in his voice. |

Hesitantly Aloisa stood up, "I haven't been in this pack very long but from what I've seen Ruger has the compassion nessary to be Alpha" Sitting back down, she gazed around the pack seeing who would be next to speak up. Thumping her tail quietly on the floor she watched on anxiously. |

His amber eyes were bold, and a seriously threatening smile turned up each side of his muzzle. "Poison." The sinister sounding one word explanation would be more than suitable at bringing the Malinois up to speed. Without further conversation, Illud followed the smell hurridly. It led him to a portable building with pale humming lights and a locked door. He crept up the stairs, dark eyes scanning the exterior as he searched for a way in. There! He trotted over to a window that was cracked open about a half inch or so. If he could just shimmy his nose through the gap he could force the window open wide enough for him to crawl inside. He forced himself up on his hind legs, front paws resting on the windowsill. It was too high for his nose to reach. If he wanted to get inside, he'd need something to stand on so he could get his muzzle through the crack...Illud turned to look over his shoulder at Shadow. "Quick, get over here!" He whispered hoarsely. "I need a boost." |

She too lifted her gaze to the sky and nodded. "Should we head back, when it's nighttime?" She asked, since she was unsure when they were supposed to be back at the pack house. While she lived on the streets for quite some time now, some things were still pretty new to her and so far she usually got back from her hunting endeavors at sunset. She supposed that they could catch one or two rabbits before nighttime, if they were lucky. |

She agreed with Apollo: They may be nothing like Diablo, but that doesn't mean the pack couldn't benefit from order. She gave Apollo's suggestion that Ruger should have their Alpha a little thought before replying. "I think Ruger is a good choice." She may not know Ruger very long, but she agreed with Apollo's assessment of him. Ruger had the qualities an Alpha should have in her opinion and she believed he would make a good one. Mazie | Strays | Scout | Female She wasn't exactly sure what she was expecting when she decided to join the pack, but some sort of order for sure, since she believed that was something every pack had. She was quite surprised that pack hadn't discussed that yet, but then again the pack was fairly new, so it probably wasn't that surprising. She decided to keep quiet for now. She didn't know Ruger or any other dog in the warehouse for that matter, good enough to decide whether or not they would make a good alpha. |
