Pupheart made it back to camp and set about cleaning the warriors den and refreshing it with new moss. With only one apprentice, it fell to some of the warriors to do tasks ordinarily confined to apprentices. Pupheart didn't really mind, he liked having a task to do so he could think. Blazingpaw was a fairly new apprentice, but he was learning so quickly. It was a shame the rest of the Clan treated him differently due to the fact that he was part ThunderClan, as if it was the poor kit's fault. Blazingpaw was an incredible ShadowClan cat, and if the rest of the Clan wasn't careful, they could lose his loyalty with their apprehension. |

Looking around, the black tom found Pupheart quite easily. He was cleaning the moss in his den. Padding towards him, the apprentice's paws dragging slightly, he stopped a few mouse-tails away from him. "Pupheart, is it true?" The fluffy tabby asked. If it was true, he wouldn't have to tell him it was about being half-clan. The warrior would know what he was asking about. Blazingpaw's head was still hanging low, but his golden, dull gaze was fixed on the brown bengal. |

Pupheart turned and sneezed due to moss in his nose, surprised to hear the apprentice's voice, and took in Blazingpaw's miserable appearance. Surely he couldn't have found out about his heritage? "What are you talking about, Blazingpaw?" Pupheart asked carefully, not wanting to jump the gun. |

"You know what I'm talking about! Is it true that I'm Half-Clan?" He spat. The returning gleam in his golden gaze was no longer joyful, but annoyed. It was clear Pupheart was faking his confusion. Why couldn't any cat just be straight forward with him? It was as if they didn't trust him to stay loyal to his birth Clan just because of some stupid mistake! Just because Blazingpaw was some stupid mistake! |

Pupheart blinked at Blazingpaw's sudden fury. It seemed like the cat thought that his caution was a front - Pupheart just wanted to be sure that Blazingpaw knew what he was talking about. Pupheart waved his tail gently, trying to think how to put this. "Are you willing to sit down here with me for a minute, Blazingpaw?" |

A snort came from the tabby tom. "It's a simple yes or no question! What do you have to say?" Even through his fury, the fluffy apprentice sat down and waited. His black tail flicking with clear annoyance, and his golden gaze furious. All Blazingpaw wanted to know if he had ThunderClan blood, was that to much to ask? Did every cat expect him to turn around and spill every ShadowClan secret just because of his heritage? |

(Correct me if it was his father who was ThunderClan Pupheart settled down next to the angry apprentice, trying to put the words together in his mind. In the end, he went for honesty. "Yes," he finally said, "you are half-Clan. Your mother was ThunderClan, but you came to ShadowClan, and we value you here. I know you've had some problems, and I..." Pupheart shook his head, anger sparking in his own gaze. "I hate those of our Clanmates who can't see you for the dedicated, determined apprentice you are. You are an incredible cat, Blazingpaw, and you have such a bright future ahead of you. I know Moonpetal thinks the same. I know this is going to be hard for you to deal with, but if you want to talk about it or you need support, I am always here. You can wake me up whenever or come get me no matter what, okay?" |

"If it was my mother who was ThunderClan, why do I not remember her? Why did I never know my father?" Rage still burned in the black apprentice's gaze, but sadness softened it. There were to many questions. His golden-tipped tail stopped flicking behind him, but his fluffy fur was still prickled. Blazingheart knew Pupheart and Moonpetal cared for him, as if their own. It only made him more furious at his true parents. |

(Again, if you want anything changed, just let me know - I just made something up) Pupheart sighed, his pelt flattening. "You were taken from your biological mother as a very young kit and nursed by another queen, Blazingpaw, your foster mother. She also loves you quite a bit. And your father...he ended up dying in a greencough outbreak when you were still a very young kit. I'm sure he would have been proud of you for the cat you've become." Pupheart paused and then said, "At the next Gathering...if you're willing...I will point out your biological mother to you." |

"Yes, I would like that." The tabby tom admitted. Standing up, the fluffy apprentice turned around, placed his catch on the prey pile, and walked out of camp. He would go back and think. Though, the black cat realised, his paws were not taking him to the mossy clearing ShadowClan used to train. Instead, they were taking him to the ThunderClan border. Once there, Blazingpaw stopped. What was he thinking? ThunderClan probably despised him because of his mother's mistake! |
