Blossompaw barely heard Pupheart, all she picked up was "just let me know!" Her gaze was unfocused, trying to remember something, anything that she could've done to make Blazingpaw like this. Oh no... |

Pupheart stuck his head into the apprentice's den, calling to his apprentice. "Rise and shine, Blossompaw! I'd like to get some training in before we got to the Gathering tonight!" |

Blossompaw rolled over at her mentore's voice, her interaction with Blazingpaw kept replaying in her mind. Blossompaw was trying to talk to Blazingpaw but her didn't answer shifting away from her. I guess I really am the worst sister ever... The moment kept Blossompaw awake, and she didn't even have a blink of sleep. Yawning, she answered, "Okay... Pupheart I'll be *yawn* ready..." |

Pupheart's brow furrowed and his thoughts began to chase each other as he sat outside the apprentice's den, licking one paw and drawing it over his ear absentmindedly. Should I just tell her? She clearly feels guilty about something, and she doesn't deserve to. But I don't want to overstep Blazingpaw's boundaries...still, Iam her mentor. |

Blossompaw look at Pupheart, his expression and focused face told her he was thinking about something important. It made Blossompaw uncomfortable that the usual, easy-going cat had been so... serious lately. Clearly, Pupheart knew something about Blazingpaw that she didn't "Pupheart, I'm ready!" Blossompaw said in an almost forced, upbeat voice. It wasn't hard, as she has been doing this for years. Whenever somecat, either her or someone else felt down, Blossompaw would always try to make them feel better. She had perfected not showing her expression and making her voice sound happy, it was easy because she could always see what other cats thought of her when she got it wrong. "Well, what are we gonna do today?" she asked. |

"I think we'll finish looking around the territory!" Pupheart told her. "Also, tomorrow, or maybe later at the Gathering, I think I have something to tell you. Something to let you know why Blazingpaw has been so down." After a quick trot around the territory, where he pointed out important herb patches they shouldn't trample, ideal hunting spots, and places where dangerous snakes might lurk, Pupheart and Blossompaw returned to the camp. Squinting up at the sun, Pupheart conceded, "Alright, we might be able to go the Gathering now if you're ready." |

Pupheart purred happily at his young apprentice. "Well, let's go, Blossompaw! We're wasting moonlight!" With that, he charged out of the camp, looking behind him to make sure Blossompaw was following. |
