I'm going to have it as these new wolves have been in the packs. So Ranger's test partner may be switched to Kyla. Thoughts, perhaps Lilith expected Kyla to be gone longer as she was visiting her son. But with Kyla back she may have someone not injured run with Ranger. If you want XD

no no no that makes sense bc Lilith would be able to have Diego's input on things regarding the running of the pack and they can talk those things over with each other while they're resting and healing; and maybe Kyla can be introduced to Ranger before nighttime by Lilith and they can do their training the next day! im totally open to that! Kyla and Lilith can walk up to Ranger as he's sitting outside the pupsitter's den waiting with his new caterpillar friend and they can talk about the plan of the next day and how Ranger's test will be structured
