That would have to do then. Starkov assessed the information, and decided that would have to be the best option for now. Because backup likely wouldn't arrive on time given the current distance from the packs. It was already lucky that Eclipse was here in the first place. But a pupsitter and a warrior were not the ideal force to take on the Turned, even one that Starkov had crippled. And Zeke likely needed rest, or some kind of medical attention. How'd he even pass out in the first place? And he couldn't have that happen again when the Turned was still around.

Starkov focused on the Turned, the bloody and rotting creature hobbling but still as aggressive as ever. It seemed to become more enraged every time it failed to break Zeke's barrier. Good, thought Starkov. Because it meant that the thing won't pay the other two a whole lot of attention. As long as he could keep it angry.

"Let's go with that plan then," Starkov rumbled, stretching one last time before dodging another flurry of attacks from the Turned. "Now... Run!" As soon as the warrior was sure the Turned was focused on him, he darted off southwards with the thing crashing through the woods behind him. If all things went to plan, Eclipse would take Zeke back to camp. Zeke would maintain the barrier for as long as possible. And using that, Starkov would lure the Turned somewhere safe and then lose it. The most logical decision given that neither of them had the power to fight it head-on.

Starkov remained just slightly out of reach, deliberately, to keep the Turned's attention. And with the corpse-like beast breathing on his tail, the scarred wolf disappeared into the underbrush along with the Turned. Let's hope he could keep up the pace...

Zaver shook his head, "No need to tell me sorry Eliza. I know you have a lot on your mind and having someone chatter about while trying to think can be rather irritating." He paused for a moment as a small smile crossed his maw and he nodded towards the direction they were heading.

Echo had been sneaking away from the family so as not to startle them. But when she heard voices she turned, freezing at the sight of Zaver and Eliza. Her ears flattened as her tail tucked between her legs. Was she in trouble? River had probably given up on her and told the Alpha she was lost. She wasn't though...she had just been slightly distracted.

Echo nodded as Eliza spoke, her tone was firm but soft. Still, though she was sure Eliza wasn't too happy. She glanced at Zaver her nodded for her to follow after Eliza. She followed behind Eliza, "A-am I in trouble?" She asked, her tone almost silent.

Zaver brought up the back of the line, making sure Echo was safely tucked between him and Eliza. Also making sure she couldn't dart off out of fear. He wanted to tell her no, but he wasn't about to speak on Eliza's behalf. Instead, he nudged the pup a bit closer to Eliza. He knew Echo was still young and naive, but she was old enough to get reprimanded and she needed to learn not to cower in the face of punishment if it was placed upon her.
