"Because your home is here within the herd. Besides, it would be dangerous for a fawn to be traveling around without the protection of the herd," Yalaktinos explained. He couldn't understand how the fawn could have gotten attached to the doe so fast as she hadn't been with them for that long time. There also wasn't any obligation for her to bring the fawn with her, but that Yalaktinos chose to keep as his own opinion.

"But,she took care of me when no one else seemed to care" she said sadly her head slightly lowered "you don't care that's for sure" she said frowning and looking at the direction she'd been told frost had gone like she was thinking about just chasing after her "as for protection frost is better at protecting me that half the deer in this herd" she huffed

(I feel that she gained a connection with frost simply because of how alike frost is to her mother which is super cute but also like)

"A single cannot provide better protection than herd. Besides, I am the lead stag of this herd and you will not speak to me like that," Yalaktinos said his voice stern. He didn't have neither patience nor tolerance for that kind of attitude.

"You know what,maybe I do hate you, I don't know what my dad saw in you when he was so loyal to leave me to help you" she said narrowing her eyes at him and wiping around and walking away ears down in just pure sadness for all she had managed to loose.

(Oop I didn't plan on her getting this much trauma-)

Yalaktinos didn't bother to comment since the fawn seemed to only care about herself and what she might have lost. It almost felt like she was the only one who suffered in the entire herd, but the stag said nothing. She hated him, then so be it, he was used to it that some hated him and some thought him weak and useless. Everyone had right to have their opinions and Yalaktinos wouldn't try to change them. Perhaps it was true that since he hadn't had his own fawns he couldn't understand them at all, or perhaps it just was that he and Lilith were too different to get along properly. Though he had to admit that she was the only fawn in the herd who had almost zero respect towards him which he found very unusual since most tended to respect him even if only for his position which wasn't easily obtained nor kept.

Lilith went and laid down in the grass choosing to ignore the other fawns.

(Grumpy teen XD well she also blames him for her fathers death but not the point)

Frost and raven were resting at a creak chatting about the mountains

(That's quite understandable, though if she ever wants to get into Yala's "good book" she better to learn a bit more about being respectful to the other elders, whether she likes them or not XD)

Deciding that it was better to let the fawn have some peace and quiet, Yalaktinos walked back to the herd starting to graze. However, he made sure to keep his attention on the surroundings. One never knew when a threat would come.

(Maybe she will maybe she will hate him till he dies XD)

Frost splashed raven which caused a splashing battle.By the end of the splash battle both of them were soaked and they shook their pelts and moved to a field where they chose to graze.

(Liking and respecting someone doesn't always mean the same thing ^^ so she can hate him all she wants, but he still is the leader of the herd and should be treated as such ^^)

Yalaktinos allowed himself to get lost in thoughts thinking about everything that had happened recently. The life sure had turned out rather lively, but he couldn't tell was it good or a bad thing. He thought about the two does leaving and he had to say that honestly he didn't feel much about that. In his life others seemed to just come and go, like they were merely visiting, so he made sure to never allow himself to truly get attached to anyone.

(Hm try but also not true because in my big brain experience when kids/teens hate someone they loose all respect for that person but then again kids are hella unpredictable πŸ˜‚))
