Yalaktinos stood on a cliff watching how the water flowed so powerfully into a small bond below them. The waterfall might not have been big and magnificent, but it still was impressive even to him how much power such a small thing could hold. Water was needed for everything, for the survival of both the cervidae and their predators as well as for the grass and other plants they preferred to eat. The stag blinked softly observing his surroundings while his ears moved a little capturing the sounds of the forest. He could hear the birds singing and foxes discussing with their little ones. If he listened closely enough, he might even hear the rabbits hopping from one burrow to the another playing their endless games.

The stag stretched out his neck and shook his fur a bit before he turned his head towards his hind leg and scratched his chin very carefully. He was cautious not to hurt himself with his impressive crown of antlers. So many tales had been told about the stags accidentally injuring themselves. It wasn't an easy task to carry such a mighty looking thing on top of one's head, but Yalaktinos didn't complain. It demanded lot of strength and skill, but for the deer it was the sign that the one in question had the right to claim the position that had been granted to them. Yalaktinos, he wasn't just an ordinary stag, no. He was the prince of this very forest. A silent ruler who oversaw everything happening there, but also the one who was so rarely seen.

Deciding that he had observed the waterfall long enough, Yalaktinos turned around and with noble yet slow strides he headed back into the shade of the large and old oak trees that welcomed the prince with open arms. However, had someone paid close attention, they might have noticed that there was just a small imperfection that broke the otherwise perfectly harmonious image.

frost was silently eating some grass in a small field the white in her fur had become dark and brown from the mud that was everywhere from the storm the night before. Her ears were pricked and she was ready to run if danger showed itself but for now all seemed peaceful.

When she finished grazing on the freshest grass she could find she raised her head scanning the clearing.deciding it seemed safe she began to search for some water before she would continue her travels. To her this had been a fun journey as she hadn't seen any threats save for a few coyotes that were across a ridge.

Finally finding a small stream she lowered her head and drank quickly sensing something close by.When she finished she lifted her head and shook water from her muzzle before trotting off towards who knows where.

Following the path from the cliff towards the lower land, Yalaktinos decided to head towards a nearby stream. It would be refreshing to have a sip of the cool water. The male scanned the area carefully as he walked. He caught a scent of a doe, she didn't seem too far away, but he also couldn't see anyone. Finding nothing unusual about the scent, Yalaktinos continued on his way subconsciously making his way towards the female. He was heading to a clearing quite far from the herd. It was very small clearing surrounded by trees that had been growing there for hundreds of years. It was a place where the other deer rarely visited, which made it a perfect spot for the great prince of the forest when he wanted to have some peace and quiet.

The spot was his favorite. It wasn't easy to reach but that also made sure that there wouldn't be hidden traps to worry about. It was a spot where he could rest for a moment, perhaps even have a short nap. He didn't wish his herd seeing him weak and vulnerable and thus had decided to limit his interactions with them. He was there when they needed him, but other than that he tended to spend his time patrolling the forest and occasionally exchanging a word or two with the forest's other residents.

frost was still walking when she spotted a small herd that she promply avoided.Since the sun was getting lower she chose to rest close to the herd as she would be better protected if any threats saw her they would be worried about the buck that she figured was close enough to protect his herd.feeling safe she grazed ears pricked slightly just in case.

After a few minutes she laid down on the soft grass breathing a sigh of comfort.she rested her head closing her eyes to enjoy the aproaching night.

(is it alr if I use deer from your herd? I was thinking about someone meeting frost but if not that ok ^^)

(Of course you can use them. ^^ I'm thinking that they are mostly just a bunch of npcs that we both can use whenever we would need one)

Spending few hours on the little clearing, Yalaktinos had decided to head back to his herd. His steps were slow and the sun had fallen a long time ago before the deer finally made his way back to them. He looked over his small herd with a gentle gaze noticing how the calves had already settled down beside their mothers. With slow and cautious steps Yalaktinos walked closer to them nuzzling few calves and greeting their mothers as he passed by. He might be a stag of few words, but there were moments when even he wanted to show some affection.

He walked through his herd slowly before making his way towards an old oak tree. It's roots were visible and it almost looked like the roots had carved so that there was a nest for the great prince of the forest. As he stood below the oak tree, Yalaktinos closed his eyes lifting his left hoof up from the ground letting only the very tip touch it. He lowered his head and curled his spine a little before placing his hoof back on the ground once more before carefully folding his long thin legs beneath him and settled down. The stag was silent, but pain flashed in his eyes for a moment. However, Yalaktinos was quick to mask it as he laid his head down close to his body and closed his eyes waiting for the sleep to come. His ears, however, kept moving as he was still keeping an eye out for his herd protecting it even in his sleep.

(Just needed to be sure ^^)

First had finally drifted asleep as the stars came out shining on her partly white fur and making the silver bit shine like stars themselves.A few deer from the herd had noticed her but mostly just watched her curiously.

As the sun rose a young doe nosed her awake "sorry to bother you but are you alone out here?" They asked politely but curiously.Frost lifted her head "yes,I am" she replied calmly the doe looked even more curious and began asking her about a bunch of things.

About 30 minutes had gone by and the two were chatting comfortably and a few other doe's and their fawns had come to talk to the pretty white, silver and brown doe that was traveling by herself.

Yalaktinos was woken by the earliest rays of sun. Opening his eyes, the male decided to stay laying on the ground as he looked at his herd that had already started to wake up and would soon be traveling to the nearby meadow for breakfast like they always did. The night had been very pleasant and calm, nothing out of ordinary had happened which was good. The last thing they needed was some hunter chasing them like they would be nothing more than just toys. However, as the male was laying there and enjoying the sun, his sensitive ears picked up that something was going on with the herd. He couldn't quite catch what they were talking about, but there also was a voice that he didn't recognize.

The stag pushed himself up turning to look at where half of his herd had gathered and slowly started to make his way towards them. His strides, however, weren't any less noble than before.
