I think the line for the back part of it is too harsh/cuts off too abruptly. It would look pretty unnatural on our wolves, art wise. Maybe you could have it blend better, just like how you have a gradient for the tail marking?

i think i understand what you mean, but if you look at a black-backed jackal the marking is pretty "harsh". obviously the art team can do a better job than I did at making it look natural but it's not supposed to be a super blended marking
