Hissing in pain, I twisted and kicked out, dislodged her paws. Bounding away, I leapt onto a trunk and pushed off, tackling her to the ground and digging my claws in deep. |

She lunged forward, a paw extended- lashing at their eyes. Once she got close enough, she took a deep thick bite into their shoulder. The taste of salty blood pouring into her mouth, all thoughts of reconciliation and sympathy disappearing. |

Narrowly dodging her claws, a shout of pain tearing from my throat as a claw sliced over my eye, I blinked just in time. Before I could recover, teeth lodging in my shoulder and I thrashed, attempting to dislodge her grip. |

She raised her other paw, latching to their side. She gave them the chance to run- why had she done that? Wait- what have I done? She released Hound. |
