"Time to visit the market," I meowed, padding past the young Tom without even glancing in his direction. "Did you finish making those posters like I asked?" (I was thinking they steal paint and make very vague drawings of the bounty as sort of like, wanted posters?) |

Thief Passing the posters to his mentor, the trainee stood up to head for the market. Perhaps Rayne had a new story to tell! The thought of it made him brighten up, clearly hopeful. |

Sighing, I began the long walk towards the market, we were based on the edge of the city and the market tended to be farther in city. Grasping the posters in my jaw, I flinched as my paws made contact with the concrete ground, sending shards of pain though my paws with each step. |

Thief "Should I run ahead to make sure everything's ok?" The question was asked every time, because he was a trainee, and almost always it was a yes. But, just to make sure, the black tom did ask. His one good eye, a stunning cyan, shone with curiosity, like it always did. |

Thief "I'll show them what's for!" He playfully fought the wheat field before running off into the direction of the market. Yet, once there, chaos erupted. Within the blinding slashed, the trainee got hit once or twice. What was happening?? |

As the tom bounded off, I forced my legs faster, aching to return to my nest, away from everyone and everything. Arriving at the market, ears pricking at the sound of a commotion I broke into a trot, spotting Thief. "What's going on here?" |

Thief "I-I don't know!" The tom stuttered, the fear clear in his blue gaze. He squeaked once he was hit in the fury, and rushed back to his mentor. "S-Suddenly every o-one was attacking e-each other!" Looking back, he scanned the chaos, trying to see who started the attack. "Wait! It's t-the Vipers!" He realised out loud. The Vipers were a bloodthirsty gang of loners who stole and murdered for a living. Why were they here? |
