Halloween Event!

Many thanks for the adjustment. I know launching things like this can be rocky but I think it's a lot less flustering when at least everyone's affected the same, so a rebalance is a huge help.

We ain't even at Tier 2 yet and we still need to make it to 3

I'm really annoyed with this event. I was super excited because I love halloween themed stuff and my whole pack is very edgy/body horror friendly but we're halfway into the month and we're still 300k effigies away from tier 2. And its not like the effigies are easy to find. Compared with the cryptid event, this just feels impossible :/ Its a huge letdown for something I was really excited about

Actually on that note... has anybody been keeping track of the actual number on the amount of effigies collected? Because I swear it feels like that bar hasn't moved in a few days...

*edit* Never mind I do think the number is going up just... very slowly. x.x

I'm really disappointed by the event so far. I love the concept of witches and magic, but the event just feels so lacking. I'm craving more of a storyline and a lot more corrupted creatures in explore.

I got locked into the opposite path I wanted without realizing it, so now I'm not even getting the background or applicator I was looking forward to.  I understand actual life events have taken place so things might not be as finished as the devs wanted, but I think postponing the event may have been a better option.

The event just feels rushed to me without nearly as much care or dedication to the characters as the Coigreach event. I feel zero connection to any of the characters in the Halloween event simply because they really don't have a lot of interaction or storyline. Granted maybe there is more story later in the event, but so far, i dont know why im bothering to help one group over the other. It feels more like a "demo" for the event.

Edit: Forgot to mention how cool the spell options are. I honestly love being able to use magic to give my wolves happiness so I can really get a good stash going without fear of running low.

It's really been a big failure so far. Honestly the storyline ain't even finished yet. I know our developers are working hard but I would have thought everything would have been done during the Lunar event?

It is not that bad, things move faster once the pyre is lit. Spells are pretty cool. You can stack effigies and swap for things you want at the end of the event. It is nice that we're getting a Halloween event.

I wouldn't say it's a failure, it's still a cool event. It's just not polished yet.

The event is a bit bugged, but i wouldn't worry about the effigy amounts, they won't let us complete the events without opening all the tiers! It's only the 15th, I wouldn't expect the storyline to be finished yet or all the tiers to be open yet, what would we do the rest of the month?

I actually appreciate that the communication has been great about what's happening, and that when things have been too hard (like the ten corrupted enemies) they've changed it. Plus, I love the spells! So I'm actually pretty happy with this event and excited for what happens next. I'd rather they put out new events which are a bit buggy than wait until next year!

The thing we have to remember, too, is that most of the new events have been buggy on the first run. It's just that the Halloween one having a storyline is new this year (before it was just the effigies and the pyre and the shops). The devs are working out the bugs as we go, which means it should be better next year. Our job is to give feedback on where it's falling down so it can be worked on. So while I'm frustrated at how messy it's been (and how there was little clarity in the choices - the star next to the first choice answers should have come with an explainer below that this would affect your outcome going forward as most of us weren't sure if that was The choice or not), the team has been working to balance it out for us as we go so as long as it winds up being fair it's no different than the initial stumbling blocks of any other event's first year.

(That said, does anybody know when the next story piece is dropping? It doesn't seem to be marked on my even page but it does say all the spells haven't been unlocked yet.)
