As far as I'm concerned all of Halloween is a disappointment and failure :(

I honestly think the event is doing a bit better since they sorta fixed the bugs! Let's look at the bright side!!

I get that some people don't like it as much as other events. I would have waited until next year so they had a lot of time to get it done how they actually want it to be like. I like the story so far, just gets a bit confusing at times. And the encounters should be more common, it's hard finding corrupted animals

I wouldn't call it a disappointment nor a failure as I think that's too harsh. I simply think it's unbalanced and that it needs a little bit of TLC considering the new story. I think most of us are being a bit harsh - I'm positive that the devs will figure out something whether it be lowering the requirement for tiers or manually opening it near the end if we don't reach it.

Just keep in mind that they are people as well and that any new addition to an event is bound to bring some flaws. They're doing right by us by working on the bugs and trying to provide a steady event.

Edit: I would also like to add that there is still some major stuff going on in Florida regarding hurricanes, I don't know that anyone a part of the Wolvden team is in Florida but it's a possibility. Life is always more important than a game.

I don't mean to be harsh on the team , they are always quick to get feedback and make things better. I can understand their busyness and the problems they may have.

It's just that I really, really feel that if there is another event like this, I really don't mind if they delayed it for a year, or even two years (?). And then put out polished activities, at least, please don't have so many bugs and imbalances.

I chose nobinary in the first February event, again experienced a failed to get moonflowers in the April event (June this year), and then I chose the kora line in this month. You can't deny the frustration you feel in the first place.I love this game and will continue to support it, I just hope it gets better.

I certainly wouldn't call this event a failure - it is totally along the lines of events for us to take to the last week of the month to get access to Tier 3/the end of the story. And I genuinely enjoy the pacing they implement, it's good incentive to play more often without feeling like FOMO.

I do feel like this event was not ready to be released. It released in an unbalanced fashion, and is far too vague on many fronts relating to the story line and quests. I don't feel a connection to this in the way I do to the other events, which have more explanation and deeper characters. Even the Springtime event this year, which did have its own fair share of bugs, was really fun and well thought out - I didn't mind the balance changes and waiting for bugs to be fixed, because the gimmick was enjoyable. This event doesn't seem to have a "gimmick" in the way the player can influence it - it's all RNG. Even the cryptids, which is mostly RNG as well, feels like it has more player agency due to the factions, variety of quests, and ways to earn currency.

I do really like the concept and hope it is more fleshed out next year. I know moving servers was not easy, and the small dev team has done an amazing job getting everything working well, as well as adding and improving things frequently. I hope the reception of this event shows them that we do love the features and events they take their time on, and would prefer a more polished version at a later date than something that kind of works right now.

Has anyone else been straight up not getting corrupted creatures after helping Kora? After the "cure 3" mission, I haven't encountered a single one.

Reading other's peoples comments made me want to add another thought I had, since I'm an eventer, meaning I only RO during events, I must admit, this event has been feeling a bit lacking. I RO, I do my daily chores, get a couple of effigies and that's it. Now don't get me wrong I'm not blaming anyone for the pace of the event, and honestly, I always feel bad "complaining" about a game I play like 99% for free which, coming from a country where spending money in a game is a luxury, it is a huge deal.

Would be nice to have some other features next year, to make the month long event a little more fast paced. I've noticed some players like to play trick or treat so maybe including an official gifting box (like the one we have in december) would be fun! Things where players can place random items for others to grab, or tricks to play to other players and get rewarded effigies in exchange, for example!

Ah I think you're right, Athena! It's a shame we have to wait until the pyre lights on though.
