Applying bases/applicators

Applying bases/applicators

Looking for advice and idk if this is the best place but I have gotten a few base/marking applicators over the year(s) I've been playing, and I always end up hoarding them. I was wondering how everyone chooses when to use the applicators/for which wolves? I feel like I can never find a good wolf with markings that fit...or I feel like their other markings aren't worth using the applicator on... idk, looking to see what other people do and maybe get out of my own head about it???

I like to put them on my lead or stud, or really any other Wolf that I really like or I think the marks/base would look good with. I tend to also only do it for wolves I plan to breed every or almost every heat, typically 3yr or younger too

I end up hoarding all of my apps all the time. It's hard to say if it's worth it because everyone has their own priorities in the game, but I'll share some of the situations I've used my apps recently

Bases:
I recently applied the Selene and Luna bases on a bonded pair that I've been hesitant to keep or change bases. Both were T2s but had pretty nice Stats which is something that I prioritize. I applied those specific bases because of the new special breed only base that came out.
I also applied a special base to one of my wolves in my project because I wasn't able to get a T3 from the parents, so I kept the highest stat pup from the last litter to apply the base to. That's a project I'm working on for high stats T3s, but one pair wasn't able to give me a T3 in the end and I didn't want to let the stats go to waste.

Markings;
I mostly use these on my studs. Depending on what theme/color you want your stud to be, T3 Markings can be helpful to fill in some of those empty marking spots. I rarely use these markings on pack wolves unless I really really like the wolf and have an image of what I want them to look like.

I don't think hoarding apps is wrong in any way, it could always come in handy in the future. Maybe you just need a project to focus on, so it'll make you feel like it'll be worth it applying apps on your wolves!
